Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

This place is great. compared to the dominos across the square that skimps on topping to try to make the bottom line better for the franchisee. for example, I have had pepperoni pizzas from dominos with a thin layer of cheese and 8 or 9 pieces of pepperoni. I don't know if it is pizza hut in general or just this particular pizza hut but I normally get more than double the amount of pepperoni that dominos gives. They are consistent too. Every type of pizza I have had there has been generously topped. you can tell that the owner isn't trying to save a buck or skimping on topping. for this reason I go out of my way to use them and nobody else. they deserve praise in an age where companies seem to want to skimp on servings/toppings etc to get more profits. whats that I hear you say ? "childhood obesity waah waah obestiy epidemic waah wahh bla bla bla". My response: "I dont care how many adults or children are obese and I dont even care if they cant pick themselves up off the couch. i want serious topping on my pizza and i dont expect to have to pay extra for it because some business wants to be stingy." Well done pizza hut upper coomera. as long as I live in this area you'll have me as a client. ps I hope that this attitude is uniform across pizza hut, if it is you'll take a lot more market share from dominos. I don't even know how they became so successful by being stingy with toppings. Waited nearly 20 minutes for 2 pizzas. Staff are young so attention to detail is missing. Ordered a Hawaiian pizza which should be basic enough not to get it wrong however was given something completely unrecognizable as the base was too thin that after our first slice we were tapping the slice with our knife (because it had not been cut properly) and was hard, they tried making up for it with free chicken wings which we didn’t know why until we got home and discovered our pizzas were not what we had ordered. terrible service, recieved pizzas with topping only right in the middle with huge crusts and burnt sauce on the outside, threw half of them out called right after they were delivered to complain where they said they would issue a store credit via email and never sent it, called asking what was happening with it, spent around an hour on the phone all up only to be offered 10% off. So in short if you want pizzas that are practically just crust, and want to waste an hour of your time on the phone to them all for them to offer you 10% off your next order (which you can recieve easily with probably more of a saving on a voucher anyway) go here. if not go somewhere else. just poor customer service...
