Scott's Luncheonette & Bar — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Went there for lunch ordered 3 vegetable spring rolls and a serve of chips with chipotle sauce. On the menu it looked like this was $15 but it was $15 just for the chips and the spring rolls were $9.50 and $6 for a small bottle of coke total $31.50 We waited for a long time with everyone after us being served. When I went to the counter to ask about the food it was cooked and sitting in the fryer basket going cold. The girl couldn’t get the sauce out of the squeeze bottle so she tipped it upside down and hit the pouring spout on the dirty counter 4 times to get the sauce out. The food was cold and we got beef spring rolls which we couldn’t eat. All the food was being prepared by both the man and woman without gloves and they were using their hands to make sandwiches very unhygienic. Scott’s Luncheonette is hands down our favourite spot to get a bite to eat in Palm Beach and honestly, the entire Gold Coast.

The food is consistently fresh, flavourful, and absolutely delicious. At a minimum, I’m here weekly!

We have sampled a wide range of their sandwiches. Each one is so good packing so much sensation into each bite. I can’t pick a favourite - you just have to try them all!

The customer service is just as impressive. It’s run by a lovely couple who not only greet you with warmth but also remember your name and any dietary preferences. That personal touch makes every visit feel like you belong.

If you're craving a hearty, satisfying sandwich with that homemade feel, this is the place to go. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

Served Me Raw Chicken – Absolutely Unsafe and Disgusting

I’ve now had two horrible experiences with this place and won’t ever be ordering again.

The first time I ordered through Uber Eats, there was a hair in my food and I got a full refund. I decided to give them one more chance (huge mistake), and this time they served me a raw chicken mince burger. I had already eaten half before I realized it wasn’t cooked properly!!!!!

I called the restaurant and the manager admitted a new staff member didn’t check the internal temperature. That’s not just a small mistake — that’s how people get food poisoning. I’m now stuck waiting to see if I’m going to get seriously ill.

This place clearly has zero regard for food safety. Hair one time, raw chicken the next. Absolutely unacceptable and dangerous. Avoid...
