Not just a really cool place for dinner, drinking and getting loose. My fiancée, daughter and I have only been to this top notch restaurant for breakfast. Well, maybe lunch. But definitely not dinner or late night drinks I do recommend it though). As a father of a, almost, two year old toddler brekky is as good as it gets lately. It’s a good thing breakfast is great at The Loose Moose. They have everything from more traditional fair, to the giant Hangover Dawg I got this morning (and no you don’t need a hangover to order one. See my previous comments about me being boring now). My fiancée had the Vege Fritter (she’s not even vegetarian, that’s how wild we are). My daughter had basically whatever she wanted off of our plates and sultanas (She thinks sultanas go with everything at this age). Even the coffee is good here.
There are a couple the staff that remember us every time we go there. And it’s only, unfortunately, a couple times a year (the manager and the trendy French guy - names aren’t my strong suit). And our claim to fame is what appears to be the only photo on their Instagram page (Canada Day 2018) that wasn’t taken after 8pm. Go breakfast crew!
The ambiance, and food, is what makes this place so great and different than the average Broadbeach restaurant. The prohibition era motif is very cool. And the moose on the wall (poor deceased moose) behind the bar reminds me of the Loose Moose in Vancouver, Canada where I immigrated from. This place is much classier though. Vancouver’s is just a good drinking establishment where you tend to make bad, but fun, choices.
So, grab your family and friends and head to The Loose Moose for breakfast. See you there on Canada Day, eh.
Tips: Parking is free in the Oasis Shopping Centre for 3 hours. These guys own other restaurants in town Koi and Roosevelt. They have a winning formula. Lou is also great. I haven’t tried Roosevelt yet. They don’t take reservations for groups under 8 people. But if it’s a very special occasion they’ll usually make an exception (e.g. Mother’s Day). There is lots of seating though. This place is in close proximity to the convention centre, casino, and Pacific Fair. Or jump on your nearest G:link tram (get off a Broadbeach North Station) and take the short stroll to it. For those with infants and toddlers, the nearest restroom does not have change tables. Head into the adjoining shopping centre to access a Parents Room (use the one on the second level. It’s much more flash)

Read moreTLDR: excellent food, but perhaps a certain member of the waitstaff could perhaps be a little more hospitable.
We (5 adults) went in on a weekday night for an early (17.00-ish) dinner - they were able to seat us as walk-ins. The maitre d' was very accommodating, even switching us to a different table as one of our party members felt uncomfortable on the high back-less stools.
Food was reasonably quick to arrive and absolutely delicious. We ordered: Lamb ribs starter - very tender and delicious Buffalo wings (maple and sriracha glaze) - tasty, but overshadowed by our other orders Steaks (medium and medium-rare all cooked exactly as ordered, beautifully charred) with a fantastic gravy (easily one of the better ones I've tasted whilst dining out) + sides (beer-battered chips and sweet potato fries) Full rack of BBQ pork ribs - fall-off-the-bone tender and smoky We were all very impressed by the quality of the food.
Unfortunately, a damper to our evening was the waitress looking after us. Nothing out of the ordinary happened at the beginning of the service. But towards the end of our meal, she started trying to clear away plates even when some of us were still finishing up our food (the restaurant was still half empty at this point). As we walked out of the restaurant, when I nodded and smiled, and said thank you, she gave me a glare. I was a little taken aback but brushed it off. Then later a member of my party told me she asked if we had paid the bill as they left (which we had). I'm unsure what led to this reaction, but can only speculate that perhaps we did not look like their usual patrons.

It wasn’t just customer service. It wasn’t even five-star service. It was next-level, mind-blowing, “are-they-actual-magicians?” kind of service.
Taylor brings a rare blend of professionalism, warmth, and intuitive understanding that immediately puts you at ease. Every detail, no matter how small, was handled with such precision and care that it felt as though they were reading my mind. Their ability to anticipate needs I didn’t even realize I had was uncanny.
And Nyky? A force of nature in the absolute best way. Charismatic, razor-sharp, and unfailingly reliable, Nyky brings an energy that elevates everything and everyone around them. There’s a calm confidence in their work that instantly makes you trust the process—because you know you’re in the best possible hands.
Together, Taylor and Nyky are a powerhouse duo. They don’t just meet expectations—they obliterate them. I’ve never seen two people so completely in sync, so completely committed to excellence, and so effortlessly able to turn a simple service into an unforgettable experience.
Whatever it is you’re considering them for—do it. Don’t hesitate. You’ll walk away not only satisfied, but genuinely blown away. The bar has officially been raised. Thank you, Taylor and Nyky. You’ve redefined what “incredible service” means.
