I have been a loyal customer since the cafe first opened & love the coffee here. Sadly my partner and I were very disappointed in the service over the weekend. After ordering, we waited over 45mins for 1x bacon & egg turkish to come out. We were also not informed that there would be long wait time, and three different tables received full plates of food who had ordered after us. When bringing this up with the wait staff they explained the meal was still not ready, instead of apologising that the order had been forgotten about.
We explained we had to be somewhere & asked if we could receive a refund before the food was ready. The waitress abruptly told us we would have to wait in the line which was 8 people long, after already waiting 45mins for 1x food item. No form of discount, refund or resolution was offered after speaking to the staff of this issue.
Working in the hospitality industry myself, I felt very dissatisfied with the service we received and were made to feel like we were in the wrong. This is a local cafe I visit weekly with friends and family. Sadly I am unsure I will return or recommend due to this experience. .....((Response to owner Kelly’s reply: Unfortunately we can confirm to being there over 45mins, and at no time did my partner raise his voice to the staff. Prices should be stated on the menu instead of saying croissants from $6 ........ .....Response to your response... ..I stated that the cafe was a little noisy inside not because it was busy but meaning ,because of the acoustics of the cafe . Firstly, my friends food was brought to the wrong table (no problems there) eventually, the girl serving who was no older than 13 went back into the kitchen and got who i’m assuming is her mum to take our food out. She proceeds to bring my friend’s food over, holding her knife and fork by the part you eat with, not the handles. This next part i’ll partially admit was my fault but we came in, ordered around $50 of food and started eating around 12:50, I was unaware the cafe closed at 1 and was not made aware. Instead of being informed of the cafe closing, the staff proceeded to stay silent and pack up around my friend and I, stacking chairs and tables around us and making us feel heavily rushed to finish our half eaten food.
