Gloria Jean's North Lakes Drive Thru — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

I went in to purchase lunch and ordered several sausage rolls. After paying, and waiting for a minute or two, a staff member quietly mumbled something that I could barely hear. It turns out she had sold me something they didn't even have in stock, and somehow I was expected to know what was available by looking in the cabinet instead of the menu above it.

When I asked for a refund, as they didn't have what we ordered and couldn't provide enough food, another staff member, Dan (who mentioned it was only his second week), came over. He informed us there was an issue and that we would need to contact head office for the refund. When I inquired about a cash refund, we were told they don’t carry cash, which seems questionable. After repeatedly asking for a solution, we were told IT would need to be called, which could take up to 30 minutes.

They eventually offered us some food and two coffees as a gesture. Unfortunately, the coffee tasted burnt, and we still had to leave the shop to find food elsewhere. We ended up going to The Yiros Shop, where we were thankful to finally receive decent food and...

Went to order a coffee ( some young girl with orange hair took my order) ordered a small Caramel latte and a regular sized latte.. went to scan my app card ( to use my freebie of a small drink) then she told me it was $12 something I said there is a free drink I want to use and she stated theres a problem with the scanning system so it wasnt working 🥴🥴 then after she fixed it. The total came to $7.10 and I asked her why when the menu stated the drink cost a lot less. She then stated that the two drinks was with oat milk which I did not order so she went and refunded me one dollar and I said the large latte is cheaper So she told me I paid for the small drink which cost more because it’s got caramel in it

The coffee taste like dirt water absolutely disgusting. The service is terrible honestly how did they even run this place? It used to be great when it first opened but now it’s just embarrassing.…. For whoever replies to these reviews do not reply to me with one of your dumb...

Used to go here every morning before work until I got sick of the long waits in the drive thru and constantly out of toastinis (at 7am). The old staff were nice but the new staff can be so rude and never have a smile on their face. Terrible customer service. I’ve gone back every now and again because I love the toastinis but more than once I have been given one that is COLD in the middle. I don’t know how they can always not have toastinis and when they do they don’t know how to cook them. Every other Gloria jeans I’ve been to is fully stocked ALL DAY with all of the toastinis it seems to only be this one that never has any. Ive even complained to another Gloria jeans and they said they always hear the same bad things about the north lakes store.
