CAFFE CHERRY BEANS North Lakes — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

Disgusting, appalling behaviour from staff. On Friday 12.03.2021 my cousin and her mother and four-year-old daughter were dining at your cafe. Suddenly my cousin collapsed, began turning blue. An ambulance was called, Centre Management and security were also called. A partition was put up around my cousin as she lay unconcious, barely breathing, on the floor. One of your female staff (unsure if it was a regular employee or a supervisor/manager), could not care less about this woman nearly dying on floor of your cafe. She kept shouting over the partition,"When can you move her, when can you move her?". As if a person collapsed and nearly dying at your cafe was an 'inconvenience'. Absolutely no compassion. Absolutely no understanding. Just annoyance at this 'inconvenience'. Annoyance because it was 'bad for business'.

My cousin was turning blue on the floor in front of her young daughter along with her mother, who was beside herself with fear and worry, and this employee could not give a toss. Her behaviour was nothing short of disgraceful. Utterly disgraceful. I wish I knew the name of this employee because she should be fired on the spot. And who knows how many other employees of this cafe would have reacted the same way. Completely appalling behaviour.

I will never recommend this cafe to anyone. I will tell every person I know never to go there, because of this employee's shameful behaviour. Disgraceful. Absolutely disgusting. Where is your compassion?

Terrible coffee. I ordered a small cappuccino, which was truly terrible. First I asked if I could smell the bag of beans that was in the counter, and was told that was fine, except I couldn't really smell anything when I squeezed the bag. Nevermind I thought. Maybe the valve in the bag isn't working properly. So I decided to try it. The one star is for the service, because the staff seemed nice & they put my takeaway order through straight away, even though they were in the middle of preparing dine in orders.

But the coffee... I'm not sure I've ever had a worse cappuccino. It taste like the beans were stale,, or possibly even moldy. And served way too hot. A cappuccino is supposed to be served at a certain temperature, but this was way too hot. Stale beans, scorched milk, no flavour & a burnt mouth....

Situated in the centre of one of the aisles at the Westfield Shopping Centre in North Lake, the café seems very popular as customers queued for as long as we had our snack.

Once the order was placed, however, it came very quickly.

The portions of both coffee and food seems quite generous, and in our case, we decided to share our almond croissant. The staff member was quick to notice and give us an extra plate and cutlery once she realised that we were going to share.

The customers drawn to this café included mothers with babies in prams, older couples, younger couples, and a few single guys and gals, some of who literally ate and ran.
