Guzman y Gomez - North Lakes — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

I went to the Guzmán y Gómez at North Lakes today, and my experience was TERRIBLE. I ordered two quesadilla plus Beef Brisket, one enchilada, and some nacho fries, but to my surprise, they had no meat at all! Literally, there was no beef in any of the dishes.

When I noticed, I complained and asked them to either replace my meal or at least add the missing meat. However, they just told me that they didn’t have any beef and asked me to understand their situation. How can I understand that? If they don’t have the basic ingredients to prepare their dishes, they shouldn’t offer or sell them at all.

The customer service was awful, and the way they handled the situation was even worse. In the end, I had to settle for a meal that was basically just avocado. A very disappointing experience. I won’t be coming back. Photos attached so you can...

I eat at GYG quite often but have never been to the North Lakes store before. Quality is incredibly poorer compared to other stores. Staff were unwilling to serve the 5 people waiting to order, rather talking to each other. The person cashing was rude and seems distracted by the other staff on. Food quality was very poor. Order a beef enchilada with brown rice (as I have many times). Was 'wrapped' barely, had the smallest amount of toppings and was placed in a way that, by the time I got home (10 minutes) it had leaked through the cardboard packaging and half of it was inside the bag. It has been a few years since I have tried GYG mainly because the last few times have been unsatisfactory and it has significantly increased in price. I normally order the salad but today I ordered the regular pulled pork nachos. The pork was sparse and what little I could find of it was dry and had no flavour whatsoever. My sons cheeseburger had more flavour. The beans were mushy and still covered in the canned aquafaba making a slime in the corner of my nachos.
