I and my friends had a wonderful dining experience at Kanto by the Filipino Street Food. Location-wise this resto is very easy to find. Make sure you park in front as the rear parking is reserved for staff and patients of a medical centre. Food. Superb! We had kwek-kwek, crispy pata, caldereta, stir-fry tofu, and halo-halo. Each meal is appetising. Mood. Extremely welcoming. Greenery adds friendly vibe to your dining experience. Indeed, cozy for casual dates or friendly lunch. Price. Very affordable. We paid $30pp. Service. Sad that I didn't get to ask the name of the guy, but he's exceptional. He takes and serves the orders with a genuine smile on his face. He gladly heeds requests like extra bowls or utensils since were a group of three. Not to mention that they answer calls and messages promptly and politely. Salute. I'm looking forward to my next visit. All the best, kabayan. Sinipag ako mag-write ng review kasi sobrang na-enjoy namin ang experience. šŸ™‚

With due respect to the hardworking and friendly staff, I am so sorry to say that the food served in our table was mediocre. Hope this will come up as constructive criticism because I really want this place to be successful. I have no problem with the ambiance and the set up for live acoustic music is Fantastic! Menu is straight forward which is perfect for those not familiar with Filo street food. It all boils down to how the dish tasted, it was not authentic! All the dishes I tried were improvised. Most of the basic ingredients were missing. Please don’t be discouraged with this review, I just want your customers to experience what Filipino food should taste like!

Food is delicious & as much as authenticity is expected: out of the 3x other Filipino resto’s I had already eaten at in Brisbane, KANTO is now my FAVOURITE. Being an Aus born with both parents Filipino…this is a HUGE CALL. There’s some modern techniques that make the dishes refreshingly present the ingredients & STILL respectfully STAY true to the OG nostalgic flavours, colours & (vitally) Textures of the motherland & our elders, impressively brilliant! In a fun, entertaining & inviting environment. Genesis & the whole team epitomised the Filipino Hospitality wonderfully. Can’t wait to continually come back with new groups of friends & share the culture each time!

Honestly a super lovely little cafĆ©!! The atmosphere is great and super cozy, with plenty of unique decor and interesting and pretty lighting :) Drinks are served quickly, and food is totally worth the little wait that comes afterwards. (we ordered for 5 people, though i’m sure food would be served quicker if you had 2-3 people eating!!) The food itself was very flavourful and cooked well, portions were perfectly sized and the menu had plenty of options :D I don’t recommend taking overly picky eaters here, as the food options all had unique mixes of texture and flavour that most picky eaters wouldn’t enjoy (taking my own younger brother as a reference) I recommend for a nice little food break with a couple of friends :)

TLDR: Great atmosphere and food with quick and pleasant service, though not too picky eater friendly. Totally...
