This was my first Red Rooster experience, so I wasnât sure what to expect. Seeing Hot Honey Chicken on the menu was a big bonus, so I was pretty excited about that. Seeing the dirty tables, and one broken table dampened that excitement a bit. Well, Iâm already here so letâs check it out. I ordered a chicken burger, hot honey chicken box with mashed potatoes and gravy, and a pineapple fritter.
Food comes outâŚchicken burger is cold. Bun is cold and tearing apart. Chicken is cold. Cheese is cold and unmelted. This isnât starting off positively. I sighed and ate it anyways. It was good, but would have been great if it had been hot, which is why I dine in and I donât order things to go.
I open the chicken box. Awesome, chicken is hot and looks good. I start tearing into it and suddenly realize theyâve given me two tiny napkins and one tiny towelette. And no cutlery for the potatoes. Back to the counter I go to ask for these things, where I was given them, but not without some attitude, which shocked me, but Iâm not in the mood to deal with it today. Chicken wasnât good, it was excellent. I start on the friesâŚtheyâre not completely cooked, soggy, and pretty gross. I dip into the mashed potatoes, which is decent, but that gravy is god awful.
Iâm glad I saved the fritter for last. That was like eating a bit of sunshine, big fan of that.
TL;dr - chicken burger was cold. Fried chicken was excellent, as was the pineapple fritter. Potatoes were okay, but I wouldnât feed that gravy to my worst enemy. And service was pretty non-existent, and the service I asked for came with a huge side of teenage angst and attitude. I did like her piercings though. Maybe just smile and act like youâre happy to have a job and...
Read moreWe were on our 3rd day of no power from cyclone alfred. 7 people in our house hold, Redrooster was open. Understanding that they were understaffed we waited almost 1 & 1/2 hours in drive thru, and if not for the young girl who rudely NOT only questioned us about wether we had our drinks in the bag or NOT which we tried to explain, that we hadnât. Not only asked how many inside, and then rudely corrected me as I said 4 large, she interrupted âactually it was 3 large and 1 canâ. Then threw my honey barbecue sauces in the bench, because I had to keep reminding her of the sauces they had not given us. Look I get it, but she didnât give a %^*%. We only wanted to feed our kids back at home who were fed up by this time of No aircon and power. It was suppose to be a comfort. Instead we get home only to find that not only did we have to deal with such RUDE school kid behaviour from a staff member, but they had also forgotten 2 of our burgers from the combos. It was wet, and we were done with line as much as anyone else, but we âassumedâ they would atleast get the important parts of the order. The drinks and sauces we check thoroughly wherever we go. Not our finest hour, but our family had to remain grateful as it was a long day.
With NO thanks to this staff member.
Do better red rooster. My order came to $134.00 that exchange was swift perfect and in well working conditions. No issues.
My service from the lady who took our order from the window was perfect.
The young girl who brought our order to the car....
Read morei usually order delivery, which is super convenient and easy, order online with an easy to navigate website. sign up to the red royalty club free of charge to gain discounts and earn points from every purchase/order for further discounts too. food arrives hot, fresh and exactly what i ordered. staff are friendly, polite and enthusiastic. i enjoy ordering from red rooster as the food is tasty, satisfying, and has reasonably healthy options. it is convenient and fast, and pretty good value plus plenty of items to choose from on the menu. the only downfall is the minimum delivery order is $25, so if you are only ordering for 1 person, you have to meet that thresh hold by ordering a lot/making a large purchase, which usually amounts to over $25 as there isn't much on the menu that is exactly $25. it was never a problem for myself as i order something big and have leftovers for the next day, or midnight snack. shouldn't be an issue if you are ordering for a family, couple or with friends. obviously isn't an issue if you are going in store to order and not ordering delivery, which is also a great way to enjoy red rooster. i've been to the store a few times, it's modern and new, clean and well presented and in a...
