I haven't penned a review in quite some time, but I feel my experience tonight at this restaurant tonight warranted one. Upon arriving, I found that cars for the drive-through were stretched all the way into Lakeside Shopping district's general traffic pattern. This is not unusual for a Saturday night, but I usually avoid the rush. The thing was, I was CRAVING a Zinger burger and decided to park and make an online order.
The interior was nearly as hectic and the drive-through, but to the credit of the patrons there, everyone seemed to be well composed. I noted an unusually long wait time for my online order. At this restaurant, my order is nearly ready as I walk through the door. Not so tonight, but certainly understandable. I heard a few interactions amongst the staff indicating that the drive-through natives were getting restless. No doubt. They were trapped in a line that would restrict their ability to depart on their own terms for no less than 10 minutes.
Inside, the staff were working tirelessly, and quite efficiently to fulfill a huge number of orders, and judging by what I saw going through the windows, some huge orders. How dare the staff get a SINGLE thing wrong at this tempo. Well, someone did, and for the stuffy little lady on the receiving end, it was too much. After being properly handled by the very capable manager on the first interaction, the woman just couldn't let it rest, and made her way inside to unleash hell on our brave manager. He just had to be told how damaged her life had become due to the stuff-up.
Remaining cool and collected, the manager used all the required tools in his arsenal to (almost) send the woman back out the front door with something softer than a scowl on her face. She should have been beaming as her family would be eating free tonight.
Long-winded, I know, but I really wanted to take the proper time to commend the chief and his crew for their service tonight. To take and fulfill the number of orders that went out would've seen and average group of people sobbing and pleading incoherently on the floor until some adults (like this young crew) could scoop them up and take them to safety.
KFC Queensland, in general, isn't well known for consistency. Whether it's under-filled, under-cooked, or under-salted chips, NO CHICKEN (yeah, I know, what else would they be out of?), or just getting things wrong; it's just something we've grown to expect. This has never been the case for me at KFC Victoria Point. The staff are friendly, efficient, and actually seem to take pride in their work. I'm always happy to give these people my money.

Came in Friday at 12:30. Good service, average KFC. Nothing special but have definitely had worse. However, I had to rip off a piece of my zinger filet as it was covered in an unidentified black/grey/greenish layer. No idea what it was but see the images attached. Didn’t bother eating that bit but I think it’s fair to not want to eat that part. Really should be more careful on what is being served. Or maybe this was a paid hit at an attempt to take out the number 1 food reviewer in the Redlands🤔… I’ll let you guys ponder on that.
Update: Despite the previous attempt at my life, I have returned here numerous of times. The quality has been improved on my order (Zinger Stacker, no sauces, add mayo). In fact, I had a near life changing experience on Wednesday night (13/8), I did not know buns were capable of being as soft as a cloud, the entire burger was steaming hot, the first bite left a crunching echo through out my home. Bun - soft, chicken - cooked to perfection, sauce - lathered on perfectly, flavour - surprisingly existent! I also returned the next day (14/8), it was still good but I do not think Wednesday night will ever be topped. Congrats KFC VP - You currently hold the EDT Best...
Read moreWas disgusted with the inside of the restaurant this evening. Every table was covered with left over food droppings, oil and under all but 3 tables had chips, serviettes, coleslaw and chunks of spat out chicken clumps under them. Mentioned to staff, politely, staff just stared at me and said what so you want to order. I took the wipes from my bag and literally had to wipe down a table and shove left over food from underneath so our feet weren't in it. Pretty bad when a Redlands restaurant looks like shanty town. Covid hygiene still exists KFC, wipe your tables at least. To top it off, we stood at the counter for almost 5 mins, and had to tell out. hello!!! Before we heard, I think someone is out the front. Received order, eating in, cleaned our own table for 5 people, no spoons, serviettes etc in any of the packs. This store used to...
