Β Β Β Read moreAfter visiting Scarborough on business last Saturday, we decided to stop in at Morgan's Seafood for some early lunch. We perused the huge variety of fresh 'smell of the ocean' seafood and decided to have a seafood lunch at the adjoining takeaway restaurant, then purchase some fresh prawns to enjoy later at home.
Well what a disappointment lunch was! I ordered the five whiting pack and my partner ordered the fisherman's basket. After a few minutes into our lunch we both agreed that the taste of this supposed seafood meal left a lot to be desired. Tasteless burnt chips and nondescript fish devoid of any fresh caught seafoody taste. I had to resort to using the supplied tartare sauce to give any sort of palatable taste.

Β Β Β Read moreI had been planning on a seafood lunch for new year's day. I was in Brisbane visiting family and I wanted fresh seafood. Morgans Seafood Market is easily accessible to anyone in Brisbane and is a stones throw away from Tempest Seafood Restaurant which I assume sources its seafood from Morgans Seafood Market. I wanted some lobster, Moreton Bay bugs, and prawns. The lobsters looked magnificent and were priced "magnificently". I had originally wanted three to allow for half a tail between six people but ended up opting for two. The Moreton Bay bugs looked so good. I bought six and when I got them home realised three had large amounts of roe attached. I also bought 1Β½ kilograms of Endeavour prawns (widely regarded as the best value prawns available for the size and price). Lunch was spectacular with fresh white sandwich bread, melted butter with garlic, dill, and chives, garlic aioli with dill and parsley mixed in, plus Mum's seafood sauce. If you're in Brisbane and want fresh seafood, I can highly recommend Morgans Seafood Market at Scarborough...
