My partner and I have been regular customers since it opened for obvious reasons, American bbq is great. This won't be the case any longer.
We have had a few dramas with them in the past, dry wings, dry brisket meat, closing doors over half an hour before closing time more than once, staff giving my order to the wrong uber eats driver and then cancelling the order which I still ended up paying for somehow. Despite all this I continued to shop with them until two weeks ago.
I made a phone order and picked up 15 or so minutes later of 1kg buffalo wings and 2x brisket sliders. I arrived home and plated it up for my partner and I. Visually they looked terrible and where obviously dry but ill have a go at anything. We began to eat and my partner immediately commented that they where inedible and she wasn't interested, I agreed. We then tried the brisket sliders, the brisket meat was as dry as the Sahara and the buns weren't fresh. She gave up and cooked a lean cuisine from the freezer.
I phoned to make a complaint which I'm not one to normally do so but this was unacceptable for $50 + worth of food. The young girl said she would have the owner contact me.
1 week later I suggested 12 Boar for dinner almost forgetting last weeks problem. My partner said not a chance and I thought about it and called again to follow up as I hadn't heard from the owner. I was once again told she will inform him.
Another week goes by and I finally receive a phone call from the owner, basically saying he's never had a complaint like this regarding dry meat yada yada as if I was wrong.
I expressed that it was unacceptable and if it weren't amended by him we would no longer be customers of the establishment. He offered a $10 yes TEN DOLLAR gift card and kept beating around the bush as though he didn't care if I returned or not. I said if that's all you're offering you've just lost yourself a loyal customer and he was fine with it and that was that.
I have substantial reach in the area and I will be sure everyone knows about it. Running a business in that manner deserves nothing but it's doors...
Read moremy partner and myself have been here a few times and the quality, quantity and service has usually been pretty good. Tonight when we went, the lady at the front was super rude when taking our order. She didn’t advise us how long the food would take. We sat down and waited about 30 min before the lady coming over and advising us that they didn’t have some of the stock. I opted in for a refund just on my side of the order as I would go somewhere else and get a full meal. She said I couldn’t get a refund as they have already made part of the order. She was trying to push us into getting something else off the menu. She then said that they have new staff and it was their fault they don’t have the food in stock. We ended up getting a refund on part of our order after arguing with the lady. After getting a refund, it still took them another 15 min for our order to come out. We got home and the ribs were dry, chewy and not very HARD to get off the bone. It was like eating rubber. The chicken bites barely had any chicken in them and were cold, hard, and tasted like the oil hadn’t been changed in a while. Would not recommend this place and we will...
Read moreJust got back from 12 boar Northlakes looks like new owners ,not great at all, ordered a brisket bacon and cheese grand burger I struggled to find anything grand about it. It looked like they just went to woolys and threw it all together with the cheese straight out of the fridge. Brisket was dry and chewy , bacon looked and tasted like it was straight out of the packet and onto the burger . Same with the brisket on the loaded fries looked like it had been cooked put back in the fridge and re cooked. Then while still eating only because I had already paid for the food the lady came up to us and tried to get me to do a review online in front of her asking me to open my phone up and press the 5 stars . Un real , and I know some may not agree but when you want to eat a certain type of food from different ethnicity’s for me anyway I like to see someone from that background in the kitchen to give it some sort of authenticity. Nothing against our Indian mates but get some American or aussie cook in there that knows what a American burger should look an taste like and learn from them...
