Hamilton Island Yacht Club — Restaurant in Hamilton Island

BEWARE of Yacht club villa No.5 To any parents out there please be cautious of what villa you decide to book at the yacht club, would definitely not recommend villa no.5 the place is very tired and dirty, AC not working in 2 of the 4 bedrooms (impossible to sleep with the portable AC provided) not to mention the space it takes in a small bedroom making it a hazard for small children (see pictures). The associated buggies provided with villa no.5 are old / rusty again a hazard for travelling with children. Vaccum cleaner was filthy and completely clogged with human hair! (See pics) BBQ absolutely filthy! Outside of building showing signs of water damage and a smell of dampness inside some bedrooms! It was brought to my attention that the villas are privately owned hence why most of the villas look fresh and have new buggies, well all exept villa no.5! It’s a shame that the yacht club does not have a bare minimum standard that is mandatory to be considered acceptable for all the villas within its establishment. To all other parents out there looking for a villa to come holiday in for the sake of your childrens health and safety do not...

We had booked the Villas #19 last month for 4 nights. We feel very disappointed as the kitchen is totally unclean and infested with baby spiders. Also, lots of dust in the underground bedrooms It is very horrible. They were rearranging the cleaner to clean up on the next day. However, we couldn’t see significant improvement, there were still a lot of spiders 🕷 around the kitchen, coffee table and still even the dining table. The two bedrooms in the basement had absolutely no sign improvement. The cleaners practically left our holiday home the cleanliness the way it was before.

Was just there recently in May. You can not fault the scenery just beautiful but the venue was awful. We were there for a wedding and the wedding itself was amazing but the reception was bad. Some of the food was cold but they still kept bringing it out, after they were told. The service was shocking we had to wait so long for a drink and when asked for more bread (before the food was taking ages) was told they had finished it. I felt for the bride and groom who travelled from Melbourne expecting a wonderful reception. We made our own fun and enjoyed the celebration but the establishment should be ashame of themself.
