We were looking for a new restaurant to try, and Luna Chan was it! Booking online was easy, and the staff/software kept us well informed of our booking status. On arrival we were greeted warmly by the very nice staff, and chose from the menu the 2nd of 4 "banquet style" options. Only two of these are suitable for 2 people. The menu is extensive, and has quite a few options for those who are just not that into Asian food. We chose to go with a banquet as a way to get a good tasting of much of the menu. For $31.30 per head we had serves of Edamame, Squid Skewers, Golden Fried Dumplings, Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, and a Crispy chicken rice bowl. All the food was delicious, the soup was interesting in that it was quite hot (as in chili hot), which appealed to me, as Szechaun Hot & Sour Soup is one of my favourites. This was less extreme, but very tasty and the beef lovely and tender. The Squid was also tender, the dumplings tasty. We didn't get far with the Crispy Chicken bowl, as there is quite a lot of food in this offering! But I did enjoy the lovely pieces of crispy chicken. They have a very good drinks menu, and pricing is very reasonable. They have Tiger Ale on tap, which goes really well with Asian food, and is exceptionally well priced. My wife was pleased to be able to order Stefan Lubiana Sauvignon Blanc, which is not offered at too many restaurants. We topped the meal off with Ice Cream Bao (delicious) while my wife had Chai Panna Cotta, which she liked very much - especially the idea of using a coffee topping on the Panna Cotta - a great touch! A nice touch is that sweets ordered with a banquet are discounted by $1. All in all, very nice, and as I said as we left, "We'll definitely...
Read moreMy wife purchased this yesterday.
A soup in a paper bowl. No, the lid did not displace, yes the soup leaked through it's own container and into the paper bag, leading to the paper bag being destroyed, and the soup soaking her favourite maternity trousers.
I was with her when she called them to raise this issue, she did not swear or raise her voice to the staff, we were at a local sports game and quite a few people saw the call the same way I did. The staff how ever was very rude, and I trust the assertion that my wife was rude instead is only a degree of blame shifting on the call taker's behalf.
When my match had concluded my brother and I went to support my wife as she was annoyed with the treatment she had recieved, and at 35 weeks pregnant she does not need her day out in the sun, or her favourite outfit ruined by poor storage containers, I note other places like hugos, or xian know how to correctly package a soup.
We were met by the manager, and whilst he did give us a refund, he constantly tried to blame shift the whole scenario on to my wife, and rather than argue with him took the refund and left. A great day ruined by a $13.50 soup and very poor customer service over the phone.
I also see further effort has been exerted to discredit my wife on...
Read moreThat is very ridiculous again. How can you flame pregnant clients like that?
Again, if you have phone record, let’s show everyone. First, during that time no one said any bad words, there were spectators at the sports game, who were witnesses to this. I was very upset about your staff’s attitude, and I only asked my husband if he would like to talk to the staff, he said no. Even if it was in the background, the conversation was with me. Why would you say I said bad words to your staff, very ridiculous!? Second, I made the phone call before I went to your restaurant to make an order, I asked if this noodles is dried noodles , your staff said it’s noodles with soup, soup is soup. Again, this phone call had witnesses. You can show the phone call record. When we were at the restaurant to make the complaint again, the manager didn’t care what happened and tried to find excuses again and again to make it reasonable and now, they flame me on the replies again and again, is it the right attitude to handle customer’s complaints and is it the right actions to treat people?
Accept the feedback and stop trying to shift the blame, this staff member is lucky there is no phone records, because as you state, she...
