Iām a regular customer at Zambrero Innaloo ā I visit every second Wednesday during my work break for my usual burrito. Iāve always loved your burritos, but lately, Iāve been quite disappointed with the consistency and service.
Over the past few months, Iāve noticed a big difference in the portion sizes of my burritos. Despite ordering the same regular burrito each time (and paying $14), the amount of filling has varied dramatically. I understand new staff are being trained, but many seem extremely stingy with the ingredients ā especially the rice and protein. I donāt add lettuce to my burrito, so I expect a reasonable amount of rice or fillings to balance it out, but often I receive what feels like half a portion. Sometimes the spoonfuls are barely anything, and I feel awkward having to ask for more when I know Iām not even receiving the standard amount.
Itās reached a point where I try to wait for familiar staff because I know they prepare burritos fairly. But honestly, I shouldnāt have to do that. Itās disheartening ā especially when I know I could walk to Subway and get a full footlong sandwich for the same price, and it would last me twice as long.
Iāve even tried giving feedback in person, but it doesnāt seem to be improving. A few weeks ago, there was no white rice available, so I was given black rice without much explanation ā itās becoming a bit frustrating overall. I genuinely love Zambrero and donāt want to stop coming, especially since Innaloo is the only nearby option during work hours.

I often get it via Uber Eats, I always use priority and am only about a 3 minute drive away. I followed it's arrival it was super quick and came sealed. This time the order was delayed on the app for 30 minutes before it was delivered. This is unusual an order takes about 5 minutes from here. I asked the driver if he was delayed and he said it was the shop. When it arrived, one bowl was half empty and looked eaten. Actually like someone had spooned the food and rice out. The bowl was half the weight it should be and my daughter flat out refused to eat it as she said someone else had eaten at it. I then drove to the store to ask if they would replace it. I was told no, it was an Uber problem not theirs. I asked all the questions I needed to to know that, they were not busy, that it wasn't sitting for ages, they were the delay, that bowl was either eaten at or at best totally slapped together with no regards to proportions. All I wanted was a bowl that didn't look like someone else had eaten it, it was refused and was told that is the bowl I ordered take it or leave it or pay for another. The entire time we were ordering they continued to smirk and giggle at each other which made it weird for us to order. At the point in which our order was in the grill heating up, the girl without the hand/arm tattoos randomly yelled loudly with the other girl as we were standing right at the counter which was super odd and made the entire shop feel uncomfortable. They proceeded to ignore us and continue to laugh and play around until we finally paid for our meal. It was a really strange experience and it made our time at the whole pretty uncomfortable. Hoping the manager/owner will check the cameras and see what Iām talking about. Food was good as usual, just very rude employees.
