Extremely Disappointing Experience at Dhaba Indian Restaurant - Avoid if You Want Quality and Service!
Last weekend, my entire family gathered to spend quality time together, and we thought a dinner at Dhaba Indian Restaurant would be the perfect way to celebrate. Unfortunately, what should have been an enjoyable and relaxing experience turned into a nightmare. Itâs heartbreaking to say this because weâve visited this place numerous times in the past, but the last two visits have been nothing short of terrible. Iâm giving this review one star, only because zero stars isnât an option on Google.
To start, we ordered a variety of paneer dishes along with naan and explicitly requested that all food be served together. We had read previous reviews mentioning poor service, so we wanted to avoid this issue by making our expectations clear from the beginning. Despite our polite request, the service was completely disorganized. First, they brought out one paneer dish, then five minutes later, a single naan arrived. After that, it was another ten minutes before the next dish came, and we still had to wait longer for the remaining naan. The entire process was so scattered that we couldnât even eat together as a family â we were either waiting for our food or watching it go cold on the table.
The quality of the food was equally disappointing. The naan that eventually arrived was hard, overcooked, and even burnt on the backside. It was so tough that it was nearly impossible to chew. As for the paneer dishes, one was completely burnt, with visible blackened gravy that tasted bitter and unpleasant. The burnt flavor overwhelmed the dish, and it was clear that the chef hadnât bothered to check or fix it before sending it out. Another dish was excessively sweet, as if someone had dumped a load of sugar into the gravy by mistake. It didnât taste anything like what we expected, and the balance of flavors was completely off.
It felt as though a new chef or management had taken over and didnât have the expertise or experience to meet the standards we were accustomed to at Dhaba. This was extremely disappointing because weâve had good experiences here in the past, and itâs a shame to see such a drastic decline in quality. If management has changed or if theyâve hired a new chef, itâs clearly not working.
The timing and sequence of service completely ruined the experience, as each person was either waiting for their dish or struggling to eat the cold food in front of them. Additionally, the ambiance and energy in the restaurant seemed lackluster, adding to the sense of disappointment. No one came to check on our table, and it seemed like the staff were overwhelmed, inattentive, or just uninterested in providing a good experience.
By the end of the meal, we felt like we had wasted our time, money, and family gathering on a place that didnât care about quality or service. Dhaba Indian Restaurant used to be a place we looked forward to visiting, but this experience has completely changed our opinion. I wouldnât recommend this place to anyone, and I wouldnât even go back myself. If youâre hungry and looking for a decent meal, youâd have a much better experience at Subway or Hungry Jackâs â at least there, you know what to expect, and you wonât leave feeling disappointed.
For anyone considering dining here, save yourself the hassle and find another restaurant. The food is burnt, overly sweet, or poorly cooked, the service is terrible, and the overall experience is a disaster. I have kept the receipt, and if required, Iâd be more than willing to share it as proof of our visit. Dhaba Indian Restaurant has lost our trust, and I would never recommend it to friends, family, or anyone else looking for a quality...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Dhaba recently, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a delightful evening.
The menu offers an impressive variety of authentic Indian dishes, and every item we tried was bursting with flavor. The butter chicken was creamy and rich, perfectly balanced with the right amount of spice. The garlic naan was fresh, soft, and a perfect accompaniment to the curries. The prawn vindaloo packed just the right punch for spice lovers, and there were plenty of vegetarian options too!
The service was impeccable, attentive yet unobtrusive. The staff was knowledgeable, offering helpful recommendations and ensuring we were comfortable throughout our meal.
If youâre looking for authentic Indian cuisine with top-notch service, Dhaba is a must visit. Iâll definitely be...
