🌟 🌴 Beach House Bar & Grill – Springfield Lakes’ Hidden Gem! 🌴

If you want a spot that combines quality service, cleanliness, and affordable prices with a relaxed vibe, Beach House Bar & Grill is a must-visit! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome, and the entire experience was polished, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable.

🌟 SERVICE THAT SHINES 🌟 The exceptional service here truly sets this place apart. Our server, was attentive, friendly, and full of great recommendations. The team worked seamlessly—glasses were never empty, plates were cleared promptly, and they even noticed small details (like bringing extra napkins before we asked!). It’s rare to find such warm, professional service that makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit.

✨ SPOTLESS & INVITING ATMOSPHERE ✨ The restaurant is immaculately clean, from the polished tables to the sparkling kitchen. The coastal-themed decor feels fresh and well-maintained, and the open layout adds a breezy, relaxed charm. Even during peak hours, the staff kept the space tidy—no leftover crumbs or sticky surfaces here!

🍴 DELICIOUS, AFFORDABLE FARE 🍴 While the food isn’t overly fussy, it’s well-crafted and great value. The Classic Fish & Chips ($20) featured flaky, beer-battered barramundi with crispy fries, and the Chicken Salad ($16) was fresh, generous, and packed with flavor. For the quality and portion sizes, the prices are surprisingly reasonable—perfect for families or casual dinners. Don’t miss their daily specials ($10 Great Northern!), which add even more value.

💲 WALLET-FRIENDLY & WORTH IT 💲 Compared to other Springfield lakes spots, Beach House offers quality without the markup. Our group of four enjoyed mains, drinks, and desserts without breaking the bank. The kids’ menu is also a steal at $9, including a drink and side—parents, you’ll appreciate this!

🌅 FINAL THOUGHTS 🌅 Beach House Bar & Grill nails the essentials: friendly service, cleanliness, and affordability, all wrapped in a laidback, scenic setting. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite, hosting a family dinner, or sipping a cocktail, this place delivers every time. A true standout in Springfield Lakes!

In recent times I have have eaten at the Beach House on 3 occasions, for some reason I keep going back, but they will not see me again (not even for free).

Starting with the most recent. On a quiet Saturday afternoon, 5 of us had lunch, 3 adults & 2 kids. The 3 adult meals came out sporadically, probably 20 minutes apart, which is hopeless for a start. The 2 kid meals didn't come at all. We eventually complained at the counter & were told, "the kids meal isn't far off, but there's only one, not two". After a short argument & checking of the till, it was agreed that there was in fact 2 kids meals to come. 15 minutes later the first kids meal came. We asked the waiter where the second one was, he replied "There's only one". So, back we go to the counter for another short argument, where we are told (again), it's not far away. 10 minutes later the second kids meal arrives. By this time we had all finished. The meals were OK, but nothing special.

On the second most recent visit (around 2 months earlier), two of us had dinner on a Thursday night before a movie. I had a seafood basket. During the movie I started to feel ill & eventually went down with food poisoning & had to have the day off Friday sick & was sick all weekend vomiting/diarrhea. I rang & informed Beach House of this & received a short apology & the person promised "to let the chef know".

On the first occasion (around 3 months earlier), two of us had lunch mid afternoon on a Sunday. There was practically no one else there eating. We ordered something simple like burgers. After 30 minutes I complained & was told it won't be long. After 40 minutes I went to the counter to complain. The staff didn't even have our order, it had been lost somehow. When our meals came out finally, after an hour, the waiter gave us our money back & said "this is disgraceful, we have a new chef". This was half acceptable I suppose!.

What is not acceptable is when you receive this level of service 3 times in a row. Was there a new chef each time ? New management each time? I...

Let me start by saying there is no customer service or hospitality happening here. I came to dine with my daughter and instead of being met with a smiling face from a person, we were met with a sign that said to find a table and order from the QR code. I understand technology is evolving but it's at the cost of human interaction and a positive customer experience. No one said hello during our entire dining experience and we sat directly in front of the waiting area.

After perusing the menu we decided on food and drinks. There was some significant items marked on the menu as not available. I'd say at least 10 different meals. When placing the order I was hit with a $12 surcharge because of a public holiday. A surcharge not listed anywhere because again, there's no hospitality here. No human interaction. I was a bit shocked at $93 for an entree, two meals and two drinks. Then when paying using the QR code they are cheeky enough to ask for a tip. None of the staff had even done anything! No hello, no taking me to a table, no water on the table, no cutlery, no order taken. The website attempts to con you into you into believing you have to add a tip but you can click "add other amount" and type $0.

The food came out reasonably quick. The crumbed calamari was overcooked and rubbery. The crumb in my opinion should have been panko not whatever that was. The sauce provided, even though the menu said they were out of aioli, looked like aioli but was diluted with something as it had no flavour.

The mains came out. The crumbed chicken burger again was over cooked and over seasoned. The crumb had burnt in some places. The chips had enough salt to make the ocean jealous.

No one said goodbye when leaving. Other than dropping food off we were not acknowledged at all. The demeanour of the staff bringing food out was underwhelming as if they didn't want to be there.

Overall this was a terrible dining experience. I've received better service at McDonalds. Won't be attending this Beach House or any other...

Thought I would go out for a lovely Breakfasts with my family. Was not so lovely the manager small red hair chick was so rude. In the 45mins we were made to Wait for out Breakfast we watched her make rude comments about customers waiting for food to the other waiter chick. But we also watched on as the throw stuff in the coffee section swearing and yelling at the other staff. I honestly felt so sorry for the girl making coffee that this is how her boss treats her. This manger belittled and emotionally beat her in frount of customers waiting for breakfast. I also found it unprofessional that she then spent so much time mucking around with the other girl in below photo with short black hair and at one point cuddling behind the counter. While I was forced the wait for our Breakfast that when it finally came out I could see why people where not finishing the meal. As it was cold and honestly could not be eaten. My advice save your money and go to a different Cafe. You never know what this manger is saying about you when you have no idea. Rude see photo for the rude staff

I had high hopes for breakfast at Big Break, but unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations. The mushrooms, supposedly a highlight, were par-cooked and reheated into dried, flavorless bits. There was no seasoning, no herbs—just blandness. The bacon was equally disappointing, with improperly rendered fat—a basic cooking skill left unmet. The poached eggs were another letdown. While I understand doneness is a preference, these were undeniably underdone. The albumen (egg white) was barely set, leaving a slimy texture that could have been avoided with just 15 more seconds of cooking. On a positive note, the coffee was amazing—rich, smooth, and well-prepared. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to redeem the overall experience. There was no love or care in the meal’s preparation, and it showed. If cooking is no longer a passion for the chef, perhaps it’s time to move on. Dining here was not worth the price or the anticipation.
