Disgusting service. Went to San Churros Orion last night for dessert before heading into a movie. The restaurant was busy so we expected a wait... but after 30 mins and watching people’s desserts who ordered after us come and go we checked in with a waiter who said he’d check on our order and let us know... 5mins go by (at this point we’re late for our movie) so my partner goes in to find out what’s happening... I waited another few minutes before walking in to find out what the delay was - they had lost our order. So I asked after finding out that they’d lost it, if they had then started our order - they said no?! So we requested a refund. The manger without addressing the issue asked how much we paid, passed the cash across to us and walked off. Asking how much we paid was the ONLY thing she said to us... she never asked if we’d like to wait for the order, if she could help in anyway or apologise. By this stage we had both independently spoken to 3 people each - 6 interactions and not a single staff member apologised for the delay, not getting back to us, forgetting our order, not rectifying the order or the experience in general. Note: Despite the horrible service, if and when you do get your food the quality like all San Churros is pretty good. EDIT: Management responded to my partners similar review and blamed it on ongoing technical issues. This is NOT our issue, accidents happen and we understand they were busy - the issue is in the customer service! If the first waiter actually followed up they may have salvaged our order... if any of the following 5 further interactions involved an apology we wouldn’t be leaving this review either... and I’m guessing from the large number of similar reviews on poor service this is hardly isolated to a single incident or a busy night...

Read moreVisit date: 8 August 2025 My family and I (2 adults, 2 kids) visited your Springfield franchise ordering coffee for adults and dessert for kids. We ordered kids their usual snack pack with strawberries and bananas and a side of chocolate sauce.
Can I just say, when the snack pack arrived, it was a disappointment to look at! What happened?! Did the store run out of strawberries and bananas?
There was literally 2 strawberries cut in half with one rotten strawberry half. 4 small slices of banana so a 1/4 of a banana. Were the staff also frying the churros to a hard dark brown crisp? A few weeks ago, I had ordered the same snack pack at Springfield Orion for my children and it was a delight to look at and also eat! We left very happy that day! Not today.
After we got our sad looking snack pack, our drinks came, my husbands chai tea (not chai latte) came late and the server said they didn’t have tea bags (it’s supposed come in a teapot with a teabag brewing inside it, a side of hot milk and a separate cup to put your tea and milk in. But it came with a cup of hot water brewed with tea bag but no tea bag inside it and a side of hot milk. The whole experience of chai tea was missing!
We left unhappy and not sure what the manager/supervisor on duty was doing tonight because the food quality was a disgrace.
Honestly, we visit San Churros in Garden City (Mt Gravatt), SouthBank, Brisbane CBD and Gold Coast and today at Springfield was the worst quality.

I was advised he would find out and let me know, waited five minutes and no answer. Looked around the restaurant and saw him serving other tables so I decided to go and ask at the register. Found out they had lost the order? Asked for a refund as we were going to watch a movie only to have the manager throw the money at us and rush off with no other attempt to rectify or apologize.

Thanks for your reply. To say that you have experienced technical issues for the last few days yet there is nothing you can do about it is seems a bit wrong. If you are aware of an ongoing problem, would you not put in place procedures to ensure all orders get filled. Firstly, your receipts are numbered, and your staff go off the receipt to make the orders. So if the team were pro active and ensured they were filling the orders by the right number for example not skipping order 51.......
Secondly, I asked your staff member what was happening and he did not bother to check. This could of been the second chance your staff had to rectify the situation. Once I went to the register the tone was very noncaring. I say the manager threw the money at us as a figure of speech since she made no attempt to explain or discuss the situation with us.
