Here is my story:
I took my kids to wafflo to get a sneaky lunch. We ordered three salad rolls which cost around $9.50 each, and then we ordered three sweet waffles for dessert, which cost around $19.
The food was pretty gross, the waffles were disgustingly sweet. And then the worst bit, I stood up to pay for us and the very rude people at the counter said this: "That will be $130" I was slightly confused about why it cost so much, but then I remembered this was Jindabyne, and prices are so much more expensive. So I payed.
Later, in the car back home, my eldest child; Rosemary asked me why it cost $130. She had done the maths, and told me that the price should have been $85. I was in shock, but we were almost home and it was too late to turn back.
Take this as a lesson. Never EVER go here, the food is nasty and the staff are so rude. Dont be afraid to stand up for what you think is wrong.
Never go here, please. I dont want everyone else living this ripoff diabetes delight.

Read moreI don't know if it's only me, but i really don't like paying card payment surcharge. It says surcharge on EFPOS payment, so I went to a car to grab cash. I paid cash, but the staff still charged me a surcharge and said, "I can't take the surcharge off, and it's only 60 - 70 cents." Asked her again, "What is the surcharge for?" She replied, "it's a tax. " I wasn't happy about that but didn't want to argue anymore. Already ruined my feelings, and I didn't feel like the food was good either. They use cheap plastic plate and cutlery are also cheap.
Reply to owner: It is your restaurant, I'm not mistaken. How many waffle cafes are there in Jindabyne? I ordered Omego and today's special, Korean Chicken Waffle. Oh, maybe it was paper plate instead of plastic. It is not staff's honest mistake because I asked your staff a couple of times. And she was very clear that there was a surcharge even if i paid cash. I was having a great day until I...
Read moreAte here along with my three kids. Sunday afternoon and we were the only customers. First thing that struck me were the prices. $20 for a waffle is a bit much! Still we stuck with it as I’d promised the kids.
Once we ordered my kids spotted a dead fly in the vanilla ice cream. On closer inspection there were other dead flies in the empty trays in there I’ve cream cabinet as well as a C live one that was flying around. The server got a spoon and removed the dead one and then got the live one out of the cabinet. Not a very good start! Watching the server making the waffles I noted that the strawberries that were being used weren’t being washed. They were being taken straight out of the packet and cut up. Again not the best. The waffles themselves were fine. Overall though we won’t be going back. Way too expensive and hygiene levels definitely...
