I have visited again with my parents in law on Tuesday this week, I was absolutely disappointed about the food. We ordered a steak sandwich , a chicken burger and chicken feast flatbread. Steak was still raw in the middle, chips was overcooked. Burger was very plain, chicken was overcooked and very dry, it also was hardly to taste the sauce, a little sauce was put on. Flatbread was not toasted enough, there was a little filling inside. It was not worthy. The price for food was expensive. Food was not cooked properly, poor preparation. The young boy who cooked our meal seemed not a qualified cook, he didn't do the right hygiene, he used his bare fingers to prepare our food and wiped his hands on his pants, he dropped his tongs and didn't clean it , he threw his plastic lead from his bench to somewhere in the kitchen. It was very bad impression for us to experience our late lunch at a big franchise Cafe. My father in law had stomach pain on that night. But we had very good food on Sun morning last week, a small girl on her black cap, mask, apron and gloves looked very professional made a beautiful egg benny for me that I haven't had for a long time, Avo smashed was nice, lovely poached egg. Her food preparation was beautiful, my daughter really loved her buttermilk pancakes display. I can feel this girl put her love on the food she made.I came to thank her before we left for her good food and her good service when she brought the food to our table. The barista there make the coffee too hot that ruin the taste of the coffee. She looked not a happy and friendly girl by the way she talked with customers and her workmates. Some young FOH was standing there and didn't clean the table, I heard they even complained about other customers behind their back. It is not good. So I recommend food would be better in the morning not in the afternoon after 1 or 2pm. You will get better serve at the till with white girls than the small Asian barista. To the owner, should not hire young boys, girls to cook just because...
Read moreHaving used Jamaica Blue at Joondalup Shopping Centre for over 12 months now, I cannot tell you how so very disappointed I was on my last visit - last week. I have been ordering the chicken and mushroom crepes for so long now and always enjoyed “a half portion,” as I simply cannot eat two of them, when I was told “we are not serving half portions any more and you can take one home with you.” My answer was “I have always enjoyed just the one serve as, if I take one home, it goes into the bin.” I understand that you are there to make money but, surely, you would rather serve a half portion and take my money as I always have a coffee and always with my husband, who has food and a coffee and more often than not our daughter joins us for a coffee and food, as she works in Myer, close by. We have used Jamaica Blue on a regular basis and sooooo very disappointed at this treatment, so will not be...
Read moreFirst time at Joondalup Jamaica Blue for daughter and myself. We both had coffee frappes which were delicious. Daughter had the BLAT which was toasted Turkish bread with bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado with beer battered chips. She enjoyed it but bacon didn't have much taste. The chips were excellent, freshly cooked and crispy. I had the Brunch Fritter Stack which was zucchini, fetta and pea fritters with spinach and dill and honey mustard yoghurt. With a poached egg and bacon. Would have liked more yoghurt and fritters were a bit thick and mushy not crispy and again bacon didn't have much taste. Service was good and quite quick especially considering how busy they were. Cafe was nice and clean with a nice atmosphere of people chatting but...
