Despite some minor drawbacks, my overall experience at this delightful eatery was incredibly positive, thanks to the fantastic food quality, customer service, and reasonable prices. The amazing flavors and atmosphere make it a must-visit breakfast and lunch destination. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a bustling ambiance, which indicated the popularity of the place. Unfortunately, this also meant a long wait time; we had to wait for 45 minutes before being seated. While I understand the restaurant's popularity, I believe that providing an estimated waiting time and implementing a first-come, first-served system would have been more convenient for the customers. However, this minor inconvenience was quickly overshadowed by the memorable dining experience that followed. Once seated, the service was attentive and friendly. Our server promptly took our order and answered all our questions about the menu. Although it took another 30 minutes for our food to arrive, the exceptional quality and taste of the dishes made the wait worthwhile. The breakfast and lunch items were beautifully presented, and the taste was simply divine. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced. It's evident that the chefs at this eatery take pride in their culinary creations. The menu also offered a good variety, catering to different dietary preferences. As for the pricing, I was pleasantly surprised. The quality of the food was exceptional, and the prices were quite reasonable, making this restaurant an excellent choice for diners who want a delicious meal without breaking the bank. In conclusion, this delightful eatery is a must-visit spot for breakfast and lunch enthusiasts. The food and customer service are top-notch, and the minor inconvenience of waiting times can easily be overlooked in light of the extraordinary dining experience. My suggestion to the management would be to display the estimated waiting time and prioritize a first-come, first-served system, making the dining experience even more convenient and enjoyable for everyone.

We used The Hungry Monkey to cater our wedding and could not recommend them more, we (and our guests!!) were blown away!! I chose the Hungry Monkey team because their menu fit our brief of relaxed, easy food to share for a reasonable price - which somehow seems to be a rare find in the catering game!! I was impressed with what was included in their prices and completely amazed with the spread on the night. We opted for a grazing table for our cocktail hour, I didn't get to see it but the photos from our guests and photographer omg!! A mini wedding cake made of cheese?!? You guys did us so good... our guests were RAVING! The lovely staff we hired from Hungry Monkey as bar staff even made us each a plate so we could enjoy some food while we were away doing photos. EVERYONE was so friendly, helpful and lovely. From the communication leading up to the event, to the day, we even had a catering team member help me get through the venue in my wedding dress before the ceremony - using umbrellas as shields so no one could spot my dress before I walked down the aisle. ABOVE AND BEYOND SERVICE!! The food - blown away. Absolutely blown away. I told people we had a food truck caterer and you guys just completely showed me up, the food spread was vast, it was ALL delicious, the salads were amazing - and all dietary needs completely covered. I cannot say enough about how lovely your RSA bar staff were, they were such a delight. You guys completely made our wedding - thank you SO much, we are definitely stopping by to try the cafe in person next time we're down South. Thank you Hungry Monkey!!! Several previous reviews mentioning good vegan options here appeared to be quite misleading - there are very limited vegan options taking into account the overall quality and price for the visit. No vegan cheese and vegan mayo for the burger - I take it as a fail for VEO (vegan option) burgers. What they did - removed dairy cheese and special sauce and replaced it with bbq/ketchup sauce and mustard. After all I was ready to hear they don't have beyond meat patty to get from there. So, $55 for two poorly stuffed burgers with no cheese and with bbq/ketchup/mustard on fries. When we were deciding whether to give them 3 or 4 stars we agreed to give 4 if they make us vegan hot chocolate. They did. But then we visited their toilet without a sink to wash our hands and that was it. You can put on a fancy black t-shirt with a cafe name on staff but there is something more in details you can do for a high rate. Hopefully there will be changes for a better on my next visit there.

This was our second time visiting the cafe. The first time was over a year ago when we were passing through on our road trip. This cafe has expanded and it’s now a more vibrant and energetic place to eat and just chill out with a coffee. This time around we had breakfast there and we loved the food so much we went back for lunch. The coffee was excellent and so was my Açai bowl. I just felt there was a value for money component to this cafe as the meal sizes were excellent and the quality was superb. My favourite part of the cafe is the vibrant and friendly feel to the place. For breakfast the place is filled with locals and that gave the cafe a real authentic vibe. There is plenty of outdoor seating and the cafe is both kid and dog friendly. The fact that the cafe is flanked in both sides by local boutiques is a great plus and a distraction while you wait for your coffee and food!

We had the pleasure of working with The Hungry Monkey for our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the initial planning stages to the service on our big day, everything was seamless and truly outstanding. The team was incredibly easy to work with, offering helpful suggestions and making sure every detail was taken care of. On the day of the wedding, the service was top-notch, and the food… wow! Our guests couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was. From the canapés to the main courses, it was clear that The Hungry Monkey went above and beyond to make our celebration even more special. If you're looking for a catering service that combines excellent food with exceptional service, we highly recommend The Hungry Monkey. They made our wedding day unforgettable, and we’re so grateful for all their hard work!

The Hungry Monkey Kiama provides some quality dishes! We visited the Berry joint and was blown away, so we wanted to check out the Kiama one. The breakfast roll is still amazing here, and the chilli eggs are a great brunch kick! While I love my spice and have a high spice tolerance level, I felt that the chilli overpowered the dish, but given it was a cold morning, it helped to warm me up. The brewed chai was amazing like the Berry joint, and the service here was lovely. The staff are super busy on Monday, so things were a bit slow, but for me that didn’t diminish the experience because you could see how many people they were tending to. It was such a great effort from them, and the quality food and friendly service is worth coming back for.
