The Quarry Cafe — Restaurant in Kiama

I would love to say a massive thank you (again) to Burnetts On Barney for going to so much effort for my Dads (Bill Gorissen) Celebration of Life Lunch (most all it a wake) back in August. Dad always loved going to the Nursery and The Quarry Cafe to admire all the plants and talk to the staff in the Nursery. I think it was not only about the plants and the people, but about the fabulous cake and delicious iced coffee with 4 sugars... regardless, he was always very happy and content when visiting. All the staff dressed in Blue, which was Dads favourite colour. The meal was fabulous. We had Pea and Ham Soup (very European), Slow cooked beef and salads with the famous Carrot Cake as the dessert. We had a small family group of 8 people and the Pavilion Patio area was styled for privacy, with so many plants and very large Bromeliads boarding the entrance way - which would have filled Dads heart with joy. Thank you again Elizabeth Burnett and all the Staff at Burnetts on Barney, the Quarry Cafe and Burnett Trees Dads Celebration of Life Lunch will hold so many wonderful memories for all of us. We truly appreciate you bringing joy and happiness to us all, at a time when we really needed it. (PS thank you to the person who held off on the purchase of one of the large Bromelaids for this day.
