The Salty Beardman — Restaurant in Kingscliff

Well we decided to go to salty dog last night after reading reviews what a disappointment my daughter had chicken burger covered in sauces chicken only just cooked . Mine was hoki and chips with sauce the chips came out cold which I returned for hot ones they then came out warm and was told the sauce was making them cold. The fish was so awful I couldn’t even eat it after one mouthful. Yes I did complain was told sorry but most people like our food well I certainly would not recommend. Kids had nuggets chips at $9 and then paid another dollar for sauce my advice...

Friendly staff. Great location. Good choice of seating both outdoor shaded and indoor. Ordered the Beef burger and chips - the burger was juicy, and the chips were fat and cooked perfectly. As cafe menu's go , its pretty standard fare. The wait time for food to arrive - took a bit longer than we expected - but the food was good. Here's a tip for the Salty Beard man (who actually has a Salty Beard - a very hip young dude) -Provide glasses and a cold bottle of water as soon as customers arrive. After reading the menu and placing our order I was super keen to try the food. This place looked inviting and the menu was fresh and exciting. As time passed we became more and more frustrated with how long it took for our food to cook... we were the only ones in the shop. 30 minutes later and my barramundi tasted and looked as if it had been cooking that entire time. Also discovered when we arrived home that we didn't receive what we had ordered or paid for. Was so infuriated with the wait time we didn't bother going back to tell them....
