Cafe with Heart&Soul – 26 Years of Good Vibes
I’ve been coming to this Moroccan-inspired café since the day it opened—26 years ago—and I can honestly say it’s one of those rare places that feels like home from the very first visit.
Owned and operated by a true Moroccan soul, every inch of this café reflects authenticity, heart, and heritage. From the warm spices drifting out of the kitchen to the rich colours, mosaic details, and soulful music playing gently in the background—it’s like stepping into a little corner of Morocco without leaving town.
The food? Absolutely unforgettable and unique flavours. Each dish is made with love, the kind you can taste with every bite.
But what really sets this place apart is the owner. Their warmth, hospitality, and consistency over the years have built a community, not just a café. You’re always greeted like an old friend, and no matter how long it’s been, they always remember your favourite order.
Places like this don’t come around often. After 26 years, it’s still my go-to, and I hope it continues to be for many more...
Read moreTried this cafe as it looked popular. We are often in Kingscliffe getting meals. Service was TERRIBLE!! Young teenager on till was abrupt telling us breakfast had just finished. It was 11.30 am and the sign said it finished at that time. Other cafes around Kingscliff are much more accommodating and helpful. The black coffee I was given was bitter. I politely told them and said they probably needed to clean their machine and/or get their grinder blades sharpened. Stale coffee will also cause bitterness. I asked for a cup of tea instead. This was done. Still no apology. Staff did not seem to care. Sour dough fruit bread was nice but small serve. The food was well priced. You can get good food at a lot of other places and get good food WITH great service and I am prepared to pay a little more to have a better...
Read moreMany years ago we used to eat here. We enjoyed it for a quick bite. The return visit was disappointing. We ordered kebabs and to be honest the only thing that resembled a kebab was the bread in which the filling was wrapped. There was no spice. The chicken was cooked on the grill, dry and chewy, the sauce didn’t resemble Hommus. This was disturbing. Nothing close to it.I couldn’t eat it. $15.50.
We will never return and feel the operators should be aware that nothing they are serving up has a hint of Morrocan. Change the signage ( and the expectation. It came with a choice of chilli or sweet chilli sauce. My husband went with sweet chilli .. he couldn’t even taste...
