Booked in with family for Mother's Day meal. Staff are wonderful and go out of their way to be helpful. Food for lunch was ok, nothing fantastic but nothing horrible either. Soup ( lukewarm but tasty) bread, broccoli & cauliflower in cheese sauce(watery sauce), roasted carrots, pumpkin and potatoes (very good) roast pork and lamb ( was good but never got to try crackle as people swarmed on it like locusts). Its centrally located near my house so its ideal for as I recently lost my license for drink driving (low grade). Depening on if you leave near me or not, the central location will vary. It has a reasonably priced drive though bottle shop, the meals I am told are quite good and the patrons in the bar are highly interesting that all have some stories to share. Read moreI flew in to Launceston and went out to dinner here with some really good family friends. Not knowing what to expect from a small bistro, Wardeez, attached to the back of the this hotel. Well, what can I say. The staff are very friendly, the menu is fairly standard for a bistro, but the chef has outdone himself with the preparation and serving of their dishes. Everything looked and tasted great. The servings were on the large size, which is always good. The value for money is fantastic and even the desserts are delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and I certainly know where I'll be going next...
