Elegance, Warmth, and Unforgettable Hospitality - The Perfect Stay - 10 out of 10 Our stay at the Dragonfly Inn was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the elegance, charm, and heritage character of the property. The décor is beautiful and refined, with every corner carefully appointed and maintained to perfection. The heritage look of the Inn blends seamlessly with modern comforts, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Every detail here exudes class and a personal touch. The rooms are spotless, spacious, and tastefully decorated, with a sense of history that adds to the overall charm. The views from the property are lovely, and the location is convenient while still being tranquil, making it a perfect base for exploring the area or simply relaxing. What truly set our stay apart was the thoughtfulness of the hosts. On our anniversary, we were touched to find a chilled bottle of champagne waiting in the refrigerator along with a beautifully handwritten note. This gesture was deeply appreciated and made our celebration unforgettable. It is rare to come across such genuine warmth and hospitality. Breakfast each morning was hearty, fresh, and well-prepared, offering a delightful start to the day. The overall cleanliness, attention to detail, and quiet elegance of the Inn make it stand out as one of the finest accommodations we have experienced. We can honestly say this was a fantastic stay—10 out of 10 in every respect. Dragonfly Inn is a superb accommodation where heritage charm meets personal warmth, and we would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly memorable experience.

We had a wonderful stay at the Dragonfly Inn. Our room, Lorelai, was the first one just opposite the grand dining room as you entered through the front door — cosy, clean, and full of charm. The bed was very comfortable, and the room had a unique character that made it feel extra special. The treats left for us in the fridge were such a thoughtful touch. The inn offers so many lovely extras that really made our stay feel homely — hot water bottles, extra throw-over blankets, and plenty of bathroom amenities. There was also a self-service tea and coffee station if you ran out in your room, along with extra glasses and cutlery available if needed, which was super convenient. The continental breakfast was lovely, with a good variety and a peaceful setting to enjoy it in. We also appreciated the extras like picnic baskets and blankets you could take on day trips. It's a quiet, relaxing place, and the no-children policy made it perfect for a restful, adults-only getaway. The location was perfect — close to restaurants, take-away spots, supermarkets, the chemist, and even the hospital, which was great for peace of mind. The response to our text messages and queries was also really quick and helpful, which made everything even more comfortable and stress-free. It truly made our first trip to Tasmania really special — a wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful B&B stay with all the thoughtful touches.

Wow, what an absolutely superb building and an awesome spot to stay! The Rosie room was beautifully renovated, spotless, and had all the homely amenities we could possibly need and then some. All the extra little extra touches made this place feel like home away from home. This place is bursting with character and charm, and it was a total delight to explore the gardens and learn about the house's history and heritage, all beautifully detailed in the welcome book. The breakfast basket was so generous and an absolutely superb value. Honestly, I can say this is the best place to stay in Launceston if you want to experience real character, heritage, charm, and history. My only regret is that we only got to spend one night there! We absolutely LOVED this place and we'll be certain to return when we come back to Tassie!

Really nice atmosphere of history and nostalgia. The house with multiple rooms over two storeys overlooks Launceston which gives you a view of lots of little lights from houses and moving traffic. Different rooms have different views of the garden and there is a patio to sit on. There is noise from the buzzing city but not nearly as much as other accomodation options. I stayed at others. There is plenty of little extras in the room like cheese and crackers and a cold drink in the fridge. Some rooms have little electric fireplaces which makes you feel pretty cozy. My last room had a fluffy blanket on the bed and a really comfortable mattress. The diy breakfast includes juices, toast, eggs, muesli, cereals, fruit, oats, various milk options including almond and all sorts of jams, honey, marmite, peanutbutter and sauces. I like making myself a sandwich for the road with a boiled egg snack. Insaw some complementary port on the table and espresso coffee machine. There is a gas fire in the shared livingroom that helps with atmosphere. Everything is very clean and you feel abit special staying here. You can mingle with other guests or just keep to yourself, both easy to do due to layout. For the price , it delivers in value for...
