We stayed overnight in a double room (one large room with a queen size bed, couch, mounted television, mini fridge, kettle, standing electric fan and bathroom sink), which had a small en suite bath/shower and toilet. The room itself was large but featureless. Bed was comfortable. No AC beyond the fan, so we were lucky it was not a hot night. We noted many of the appliances needed servicing; the sink tap was very loose, and the door knob to the room was not attached correctly and fell off when pulled. Overall the room was decent but far from luxury. Parking was not available for us when we arrived as diner guests had taken it, ignoring the 'Hotel guest parking only' signs. That said, there was not much parking anyway. Our only interaction with the hotel staff was on check in. The downstairs restaurant and bar seemed like a nice atmosphere and good food, but was too busy for us that night. I would recommend the Centennial Hotel as cheap accommodation near central Launceston, particularly to anyone also looking for a pub meal. I would not recommend this accommodation for anyone looking for luxury over...

Recently stayed in room 11 with a mate for the weekend to attend footy. Room 11 is a two bedroom apartment type with 2 large bedrooms with a lounge in the middle. It was fairly clean but very sparsley furnished. A clock radio in each bedroom would be handy, there were a couple of electric radiators which we had to leave on continuously to keep chill out no split systems so assume would get quite hot in summer.||There was a bar fridge with about a dozen long life milk sachets in it, four mis-matched cups for coffee and tea. A few nibblies and maybe a couple of bottles of water would be a nice touch. ||In the bathroom we had one glass and 2 tiny packaged soaps, no shampoos, etc. Turned on tap to get a drink of water and the water was rusty, had to let it run for a while. Shower water pressure was terrible and hot water ran out very quickly, also a bit of mould on tiles.||Could be a lot better with a few more little touches, good location but a lot of...

Pros:

Room is located on the second floor Room size is decent. Convenient separate sink outside the bathroom. Dishes, cutlery, and a toaster are provided. Room has a bathtub. Parking is available. Close proximity to a Cole's supermarket.

Cons: No elevator No kitchen facilities. Room is located near the street, so traffic noise can be disruptive during sleep.

Overall:

This could be a good option for budget-conscious travelers looking for a short stay.

Downsides:

No elevator, which might be inconvenient for travelers with mobility issues. No kitchen, limiting cooking options. Traffic noise can be bothersome.

Recommended for:

Budget travelers. Travelers needing a short stay. Travelers who want to prepare light meals. Not recommended for:

Travelers with mobility limitations. Travelers who prioritize peace and quiet. Travelers who need a full kitchen...

The room was beautiful, the decoration was ancient, we arrived on the holiday so the receptionist was not present, but they were very supportive to us by phone, even when I left, I left my phone. At the hotel, Ms Juanita was very helpful and sent it through a transport service that helped me to Horbat. I was extremely lucky to receive your enthusiastic help

Staying here we had to try the restaurant downstairs on arrival. What a great reward we received! We had the chicken tenders and a pizza called “Volcano”! We capped it off with the banana split. What a superb choice we made plus a bottle of Shiraz. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more and the service staff were all so polite! Thank you!
