Service: staff is very friendly and we were served very well, food came quickly too.
Drinks: oat milk flat white + iced matcha latte. These were quite good however the "large" flat white was not very "large" size. The matcha latte is not sweet which could surprise some people but I thought it quite tasty overall.
Food: biggest area that needs improvement and also the reason why we gave it a 2/5 instead of 3/5. Chashu milk bun: egg white was still a bit raw.. matcha granola: flavours not well balanced, fruit cut up into too large pieces and a bit bland strawberry tart: biggest let down, the strawberries were mushy and sour (they were cooked in the oven), the pastry was not buttery and crumbly but kinda soggy/old and like it was leftovers from the day before. It was literally just strawberries and pastry. Thats it. No custad or filling at the bottom, it didnt feel like there was sugar in there either, the pastry crust needed to at least be reheated or the pastry recipe needs to change.
Overall: Positives: Staff was very good and welcoming. Drinks were pretty good too.
Negatives: food is lacking in flavour, not well balanced and its actually quite expensive for what it is. Maybe they were going for a "healthy"/light flavour, so if youre into that then you may think differently.
Suggestions for the kin coffee team: That strawberry tart NEEDS to be revamped!! Either by changing the crust recipe or by using better preservation methods to not get the crust soft. And the "cooked"/mushy strawberries also need to go...maybe if you still wanted to cook them, you could make it into a jelly/syrup OR just completely switch them out for fresh one. You guys should also probably think about a creamy element to it because it was quite dry. The matcha granola: fruits need to be cut smaller, since there was no yoghurt the dish was missing some "tang" and also having some kind of sweet syrup on the side for people wanting to make it sweeter would be better. Chashu milk bun: ensure the egg white is fully cooked before serving, but you could also switch the fried egg for scrambled egg.
I am hoping the team can use this feedback to improve on their food!
I woud definitely be willing to try again if the food improves a bit, but until then...

If you're looking for a delightful spot to enjoy a meal, this cafe is my top pick among the many options in the area. Nestled perfectly between the vibrant Leederville and Mt Hawthorn strips, it offers the ideal blend of atmosphere and quality.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff who made us feel right at home. Their warmth and attentiveness set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The food was nothing short of exceptional—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented.
The menu is infused with delicious Asian influences that elevate classic dishes into something special. The avocado on toast with soy-marinated egg had us intrigued, and it didn’t disappoint.
The venue itself is light and bright, creating a welcoming ambiance that invites you to linger. The spacious interior is well-appointed, and the al fresco area is a wonderful addition for those sunny days.
Overall, the service was first class, making our visit truly enjoyable. I can’t recommend this cafe enough—definitely worth a stop if you’re...
Read moreWe’ve been to this place quite a few times since we moved to Leederville, and I think we found our regular spot. The café’s atmosphere is really calming, the interior design is aesthetically pleasing. Their staff is always friendly and welcoming, and their barista is the coolest guy (and he remembered us only after a few times being there!) serving super delicious coffees. They have a really nice food menu, and even though they have only 3 vegan options, they are all amazing! I’m obsessed with their mushroom-hummus toast with dill on top! The place is a bit further from the busy part of Oxford Street, but it’s absolutely worth it to visit them! Perfect spot for catch ups, business meetings or...
