Let me just start from the end, please let me just say that their ricotta cannoli are simply to die for!! Absolutely amazing!! Staff is friendly, restaurant was busy on Monday night, I definitely recommend to book a table. We had few starters, pizzas and pastas and of course desserts! From the starter, everyone loved the arancini, I’m vegetarian so can’t really say a thing about it, loved the eggplant parmigiana but specially the white pizza with nduja that we ordered without making it vegetarian, absolutely amazing! I had the special gnocchi of the day and they were ok, nothing to die for but all my friends loved the sea food pasta dish which came with a “coccio” so if this is your first time here and you’re not vegetarian/vegan I highly recommend it! Ordered Chianti as a wine, delicious and for dessert no doubt, ricotta cannoli!! Best one I had here in Perth, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Thank you to the all staff and chefs for the amazing experience we had! 6 starters, 4 pizzas, 6 pasta dishes, 2 bottle of wine, a coke, 2 beers, 6 desserts just $77 each! Absolutely not overpriced at all! Loved it. Thank you again!!

Even though everyone in our party ordered the same dish, we were all more than satisfied with the meal. We had a seafood pasta bowl that came with a pizza dough lid that was browned in the pizza oven. Let me say that the opening of the dish was incredibly dramatic with many open mouthed gasps. As exciting as the reveal of the dish was, the food more than surpassed the surprise. It was so delicious. Beautifully smooth tomato sauce smothering handmade pasta and generous amounts of seafood that tasted even better when scooped up in the bread. Had we known how big the portion was, we probably would have ordered one bowl and a salad. For starter the arancini were so tasty and the prawn pizza was excellent. Also, the service beats almost any other restaurant in Perth. The staff were attentive, friendly, approachable and knowledgeable (it helps to be Italian in an Italian restaurant) without being too familiar. They walked the balance perfectly. We will definitely be going back.

Came here on a Saturday night with a booking. Found the place in a bit of a shambles, wasn’t too sure where to go to be seated, staff running around everywhere. After we were seated a waiter came and asked if we wanted water which I replied with tap
the waiter had forgotten about us and another waiter came 5 minutes later. We then ordered the Beoretto Di Pesce and water as we had not received it when we first asked. Food came out reasonably quick and was presented nicely and tasted delicious. Upon paying we waited for a waiter to come to the till only for him to talk to someone waiting for an order about how he looks like a soccer player to which he then pulled up an image on the laptop to show the customer. We were in a rush as we had somewhere else to be and we found it rude, ignorant and unprofessional. So in conclusion the food was really good but the service could do with some work

There has been a recent and definite decline in food quality recently and Ive heard that Pappagalo has recently changed ownership. Can this be true because if so it would explain a lot. A thriving business being bought out and strangled by poor attention to detail? Well two weeks ago I went to dinner only to wait over 45 minutes for my main after my companion had theirs, we were about to leave when it arrived and it was a shadow of its former glory. A tired rubbery pizza the likes Ive never seen at Pappagallo. Last night a large group of us was told we had to order off a set menu which we declined as this was not made clear on the booking. Fortunately the acceded to our wishes and the food was just OK , but I noted a similar lack of attention to detail. Has the reign of the excellent Pappagallo come to an end? Get your act together because we the customer are taking note!

Im coming back one more time and if the poor quality of food persists, Im crossing you off my list....
