Lex Thai Garden — Restaurant in Lennox Head

This was absolutely brilliant food and above all when I got into town late and was refused service in the Italian across the road which had about 4 people in the kitchen and still had about 25 customers in..... the difference when I walked in this place was incredible. I think the guys name was Pierre and he offered to turn on things and cook for me.... After a bit of ahhh would you really do that... so kind and if you know anywhere I can get food that's fine... he said NO im happy to help. I sat down with a few beers while he cooked up an incredible tasting meal which I said to put as a take away due to him already showing such brilliant customer service and being closed. When I'm in town again I will not hesitate in returning here for a great sit down meal and will hopefully bring some customers in with me. If the food had been average which it wasn't, it was delicious then the service would have out shone that. Thank you Thank you thank...

Not good.

Very understaffed with staff running between tables and kitchen.

My wife had the prawn fried rice (pad mum Goong) for main, 4 average size prawns, 2 pieces of cucumber, 2 small pieces of broccoli and a few shreds of carrot with fried rice. Talked to waitress about only having 4 prawns, she was shocked saying there are usually more prawns and she would talk to manager regards this. I heard her talk to manager from our position near kitchen interface. When manager brought bill, we asked her about her conversation with young waitress, she denied conversation and just took our money. I guess most customers like us are not locals so easy to take money and show no care. I never generally review (especially) negative but seeing the waitress do the right thing letting manager know as we had asked, and manager denying it was pretty shoddy. We are Lennox regulars and will not be returning...

Can't complain about the food, very yummy. The staff on the other hand was unorganized and too busy talking between each other to serve the pther tables. After giving this restaurant a second chance and coming out unsatisfied, the first time our spring rolls weren't cooked, the second time we had half of our entrees come out at the beginning and only when we asked them about our missing meals did they come out with our main meals at the end, we had two main meals that they had also forgotten to give us and that came out after we had finished our main meals. The restaurant was far from full capacity. Overall we could not complain about the taste or presentation of the food and wine but we defiantly felt like that their staff both wait and kitchen were unorganised and too busy socialising.
