The Point Cafe — Restaurant in Lennox Head

I'd love to say great things about this cafe but the bad outweighed the good for us. It was very busy - good sign - and we had to try twice for a table. We sat down and then I went to order.... sorry we're out of pancake batter so nope, no pancakes. I'll have eggs benny instead. Sorry we're out of hollandaise... sigh So I ordered my husband's wrap, two coffees and a large juice. They bring out my coffee and the juice, then the wrap (which was really more like a quesadilla) so I enquired about our second coffee. Oh sorry, YOU only ordered one coffee and a juice. Ummm no... YOU only wrote down half our order and given you didn't have half the food we wanted I wouldn't have thought 2 coffees, a juice and a wrap would be that hard. On the upside the food and drink we did get was nice but I won't be rushing back next time...

my friends and I ordered avocado, chicken sandwich with no mustard, 2 hot chocolates,1 chai latte and a coffee to go along with musli we were planning on eating in the store and leaving back home with the drinks, we sit down and wait about 15 minutes the avo chicken sandwich comes out with mustard, chai latte comes out in a cup not to go, Musli comes out along with all the other drinks ALL IN CUPS then when we asked to have them in to go cups we got a smug face look and an eye roll as if we had done something wrong. Complete...

The food was quite good although somewhat pricey for a simple BLT. I asked for the coffee to be served hot and it was. I get annoyed when places like this add a surcharge for weekends and public holidays. It is almost as annoying as the American and Canadian habit of adding on taxes and TIPS. I expect the price I see on the menu is the price I pay. I may be a lone voice calling out but a surcharge on weekends makes no sense. That is their busiest time and when they make most of their sales whereas on weekdays the place...
