Lennox Pizza Bar and Kitchen — Restaurant in Lennox Head

The food was ok but I had a bizarre experience this evening when I went to collect my pizza and pasta after ordering online. The lovely girls at front of house told me to go to the pick up window and ask for my order there. My online purchase had indicated that it would be available at 6.10pm which is when I arrived. I politely approached the window and waited to be acknowledged by the woman boxing the pizzas, (about 50 years old and may have been called Laura) who could see me clearly in front of her. When I had been ignored for over 5 minutes I said (again very politely) "Excuse me" She then snapped (without any eye contact) "I CAN'T TALK TO YOU NOW!" and continued to ignore me. I was so embarrassed and was comforted by another customer who was waiting as well. My name was finally called at 6.30pm. I don't mind waiting on a busy night at all as I have worked in hospitality for many years and understand what it's like, but the treatment I received was really unnecessary and upsetting. She was seemingly civil to two other people who also approached the window to check on their order and I have no idea why I was targeted in this way. Have been coming here for years and am so...

We ordered takeaway pizza and pasta. First of all we ordered at 5:45 pm and were told after we had ordered and paid that it wouldn’t be ready until 7pm. We went back at 7pm for our order and it was not ready so waited another 20 minutes. When our order was ready we then found that a pizza was not put through when ordering. We asked for a fork for the pasta and we were told there were no takeaway forks left. We then asked if we could borrow and fork and return it, since we were sitting in the park with our children for dinner. The young girl very rudely said “ we can’t do that” and then proceeded to tell us to go to Fishy Fishy and take one from there. When challenged on this suggestion since we did not order our food from Fishy Fishy and we weren’t going to eat our spaghetti with our hands, the young girl continued to say “ oh well we can’t do that, we can’t do that” cocking her head from side to side. Having been a local for some time, i have frequented this restaurant for takeaway, dine in and delivery and have been consistently let down.

However i received food from this restaurant it’s been disappointing and lacklustre. Calling back about poor food quality after delivery, being credited but then credit lost…

There is clearly a system flaw, ran unprofessionally and protected by people who go back for more because they don't know what they could be getting.

Understanding that this is a place for tourist and young people it should still have a standard of service and food quality being in such a beautiful location the locals deserve quality.

The staff lack proper customer service skills( understanding this is a first job situation) I still think that proper training and overseeing would solve the issue.

Italian food should be simple and easily executed and it tastes like execution in price, flavour and service.

Plenty of potential for this restaurant.
