This place is not child friendly. In fact it goes as far as having a sign up in the cafe during the day which says this. 'The Maurocco Bar' cafe has a strict code of conduct and does not discriminate in favor of children'. Last time i went the sign said 'Uncivilized little darlings will be encouraged to leave' Discriminating and really rude. Read moreAs a city boy out in Castlemaine on invitation to see the opening of the Festival, I really had no idea what to expect of this place as we walked by. Upon entry I was impressed with the quirky art deco stylings and felt very cosy amongst all the very friendly locals. The courtyard out the back is simply stunning. Inside be enchanted by the old world art nouveau deco, comfy armchairs, private corners and a lovely courtyard garden out the back. The Maurocco Bar is also a place for music.
