Origini Cafe — Restaurant in Victoria

We visited Castlemaine recently and had dinner here after guests where we were staying, highly recommended it. So glad we did. The food was absolutely amazing, authentic and delicious, you just wanted to savour each mouthful, it was that good. Had a lovely bottle of wine that Luca recommended. Atmosphere was warm, cosy, genuine and welcoming with excellent service. Luca was delightful, such a joy to chat to and he even burst into song when he found out our friend had an uncle in Italy who was a singer. Luca had heard of him so Daniel kindly found a song of his and Luca sang along and serenaded us. It was wonderful and very touching for our friend to hear her uncle’s voice and she sang along with Luca. Such a special moment. We went there with our dog. This place has really good food, amazing staff and wonderful & warm atmosphere.

It was a really cold day and we were hoping to get an outdoor table due to our dog. But they offered we can sit at their courtyard, which has a complete cover with a very powerful heater. We were very warm and already happy cuz the staff were very friendly, attentive and engaging! When the food came out, it was mind-blowing! I don't remember when was the last time I had such delicious pasta!!! My hubby was very happy too. A good glass of wine to go with the great food and perfectly delicious dessert to finish the meal. I want to move to Castlemaine for Origini!

Excellent original “ gemütliches” environment Meaning “ more than homely. It also has a touch of elegance. Well done Guys. Ingrid and Luca began this process with my blessing and it has the best soup and food in victoria. Luca good luck with the running of your amazing cafe. It’s the only place worth visiting in Castlemaine if you want friendly staff and the freshest food. Luca the owner also sings some great Italian tunes ( Eros ramazzotti - Favola will always remind me of him singing away) can’t understand it but it’s from the heart and as an Austrian I get the whole Origini thing.
