Bella Fresca Pizzeria — Restaurant in Victoria

There has been a change in ownership and unfortunately Bella Fresca is not what it was.

The pizza base use to be just thin enough to hold together, but light and fluffy with delicious ingredients. The bases of our pizzas were clearly overworked and over-proved . There was no air in the dough and it was a dense flatbread type base. For the $22 larger pizza, the quality of ingredients is poor. In particular, the salami. The salami is of low quality and better salami is used at Domino's. The garlic and marinated eggplant special was just garlic, garlic and more garlic. Did nobody taste this before putting it on the menu? Teaspoons of minced garlic from a jar on each slice. Terrible! The restaurant was still busy and there were plenty of takeaways but I dare say for the price and the lacklustre service, featuring one person answering phones and serving tables, people will soon give up. We used to be regulars, but not anymore. Arrivederci...

How amazing is this friendly restaurant.. I wish I can take it with me to Melbourne I am a visitor to Castlemaine and I found this high reviewed restaurant... It is tiny but lovely felt as being home , they provide games toys and other staffs for kids to enjoy 😍👌🏻.. the workers are very welcoming and smiling all the time even they have a crowd and a lots of orders .. I really enjoyed my experience there .. hopefully you enjoy too guys ❤️

Honestly this pizza is some of the best I’ve had in Australia. We struggle getting pizza this good in Melbourne. Always love stopping here for a bite. The Raphael (bbq meat lovers style) and Americana are the go to’s for us. Highly recommend.
