I have been coming to this place for a very long time Today was shooed away after I was told no cold brew, you can make ice coffee in many different ways there was no effort at all. I walked away for the last time this is the second time I was told no cold brew but only last week a lovely young girl who was on her own it was friday she had no cold brew but made me one with hot coffee over ice and milk with a little syrup. It was amazing
The manager always tells me no cold brew and never offers to make me one. I didnt want to make a scene so I left. I have been coming GJ since it opened in the hyperdome and I just want to mention the review where someone is calling us all negative Nellie's. I hope you aren't a staff member because you know better no staff members should be making reviews. Learn from your mistakes and take it on. I don't hate the store, or the people in it. I just found one closer to home that make it regardless of cold brew. Sad that I won't be going back because it gave a warm friendly atmosphere until it didnt. And FYI dont lie to people because I was a Barista. I can make them at home but I went in to show support and when the girls were stressed before the renos, i still went and said hi and waited patiently tipped them everytime I went in, even brought Christmas chocolates for them one Christmas. Because they were stressed as hell. I never complained. But today was the last straw and unfortunately being refused service after driving all the way from Warwick to come home and stopped off for coffee. I was shooed away because no cold brew. I have already sent this to head office. So its fine with me. Just will walk past now its not worth my time anymore. I dont need to hear apologies. Im sort of over it. The service I received was extremely disappointing, especially considering it was quiet at the time. First, my order was shouted out as âKiosk Orderâ rather than by my name despite the fact that I had entered my name when ordering. This was confusing, as multiple people could have ordered via the kiosk. When I collected my tea, there was a puddle of tea surrounding the cup. The server told me, âOh, there are napkins there to wipe it up.â This is unacceptable â I did not make the tea, and it is not my responsibility to clean up staff mistakes. I ended up wiping up the mess myself, only to then pick up my takeaway cup and have boiling hot tea drip down my hand. I had to stop at a nearby sushi shop to sort it out, where I discovered that the second cup my drink had been placed in also contained puddles of tea. My cup was soaked and soggy, and the teabag label was drenched. In the end, I had to throw away my drink which I paid an extortionate amount for and was left with a sore hand from the hot tea. This entire experience was frustrating, unsafe, and completely avoidable with proper training and customer care. I am requesting to be contacted and issued a full refund. There were 4 team members in store, sitting down near the back room playing music did not get a smile or even a hello. I gave my order in which I received rather quickly. As i was walking away I took a sip and it was cold. I went back and said this is cold can I have a hot coffee please. The girl shot me a rather rude look and said I'm not making it and proceeded to walk out the back room, another girl took it looked me up and down and poured the cold coffee back into the milk jug to re steam it. I stopped her and said can you make a new one please. With a rude look she made me a new coffee and pushed it towards me and said hope this is better and walked towards the back room and sat back down.
