Updated review: Had to update upon a horribly disrespectful experience yesterday - we ordered at 6pm from work and arrived at 6:50. My friend stood at the counter for 15 mins and no one approached him. Eventually, someone said âsorry we have your order to the wrong driverâŚthey thought you were a driverâ. Regardless, someone should have acknowledged him as he walked in. They offered him either a refund or to wait 5 more minutes - at that point they should have been offering more. So rude.
As a filipino, I am ashamed. Will be frequenting other filipino establishments like Rexâs Cuisine in Acacia Ridge.
To the owners: Teach your staff how to respect others and never make assumptions. Youve lost loyal customers and If you donât improve your services, I know you will lose more.
Initial review from 8 months ago: I feel like this review is also on behalf of my parents since they've frequented here countless times and are now known by the staff haha. Personally have been here 3 times, once at the new location (which is lovely). We're filipino and have great cooks in the family and while there are far and few in Brisbane, this is our favourite filo restaurant. It has my fave - kare kare and overall, the food is authentic. The only thing I'm slightly sad about is the halo halo no longer having ube ice-cream :( TO THE OWNERS - hear me out - I (and I know many others) would pay more to add the ube ice-cream, a bigger leche flan piece and corn flakes on the halo halo - respond to this if you can see...

I rarely leave reviews, however I feel the need to point out the flaws of this restaurant. Straight away, the customer service was extremely poor. A young man approached and did not greet us, simply stood there. After we chose a dish, he said it was not available. We attempted to order 4 DIFFERENT dishes, to which he said the same thing. âNot availableâ. Fed up, we simply ordered two of the same dish.
We waited 30 minutes despite the restaurant being very quiet. From the table, we saw an employee dip a spoon into a soup and taste it, twice, with the same spoon. Once the food arrived, the lady handed the two plates on the table, not saying a word, despite our âthank youâsâ. The food itself was very disappointing, the pork sausages were pink and the egg was over cooked. The tomato and cucumber were also clearly not fresh.
I took my Filipina girlfriend here as we expected a positive dining experience and we truly expected more, with such a beautiful culture and generally fantastic food, Manyaman is letting down the usually wonderful reputation that Filipino food and...
Read moreForaging for Filipino food and landed here. I enjoyed the flavours, but not the temperature - only the garlic rice had decent warmth, and waiting 25 minutes for mostly lukewarm food wasnât quite what I expected. The expert on Filipino food in our group rated the overall meal pretty low. However we noticed lots of Filipino customers here so I guess they must be doing something right, and maybe we lucked out this time?
We ordered and shared 2 mains and extra rice between 3: Half boneless grilled chicken, $11 BBQ pork skewers with rice, $13.95 Garlic rice, $3
The garlic rice was quite good, and something I could see myself enjoying 2-3 serves of just on its own. Proteins wise I preferred the chicken to the pork - the latter felt like it was left on the grill too long (one chunk of meat on the skewer I had being totally charred and inedible).
The shop also sells drinks by Kikay Milktea and bread items by Winston's Kitchen - I tried some of the ube Spanish bread and it was...
