The only thing they were good at was taking my money 😂 worst customer service I've ever experienced tbh (except the waitress, she was okay). I didn't even get my refund after I asked for one since they took a whole hour just to process my order. It was 1 sandwich lol.
So I sat down with a couple of my friends to grab some lunch at this place, we ordered our food and waited for 45 minutes. We went up to the front desk to check on our orders and they said "yep they're being made and will be coming out now". They kinda just lied because the kitchen is fairly open so we saw they pretty much just started making our orders. My friends got their orders eventually and of course, their food was cold. I didn't even get my food and went up to the front desk again only for them to JUST START making my food, so I requested a refund. It's been about a week now, and I didn't get my refund lol. The chef was really dismissive and pretty rude with the whole process. The dude caused the problem and didn't even solve it then. He said "yeah I gotta go to the computer and process the refund after service" and he straight up lied about that.
I should probably mention that the whole time I was waiting for my order, quite a few others were going back and forth to check on their own orders so nothing beside a couple appetisers were being made for that whole 50 minutes we were waiting. I waited for my friends to finish their food and as we left to go to a sushi place instead, I noticed others were still waiting. Embarrassing, man. Just a terrible time overall. I've worked in kitchens so much, I've never seen a place so uncommunicative with their customers and unorganized smh. When I went I could understand what they mean by it. The table that was the most ideal for me and my family was getting cleaned and there was no issue for us waiting but after the staff worker only took the plates , they didn’t come back and looked like they DIDNZMT want to clean up the bottles and the dirty table. With that in mind me and my family just began to clean up the table ourselves which isn’t a large issue but this should not be happening. And you might be thinking oh wait was it busy, At that time it wasn’t really busy so I donzmt understand why they hadn’t cleaned the table. After getting the table cleaned by CUSTOMERS, it was time to choose the dishes which seemed quite delicious as Nandos in other locations have quite great food selections. The chicken was nice and tender some parts were undercooked and some parts lacked any flavour. The chicken felt like it was cooked in a rush while there was not any other rush. The salad, pretty good cause well you can’t mess up salad. The portion was quite small . And the sweeet Potato chips were really good cause well if you somehow made this dish horrible I will never come again. The food was pretty decent pretty good price to share. As someone who understands the time-sensitive nature of food service—especially during peak hours (7 PM dinner rush)—I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Fernando’s Chicken Restaurant in Hyperdome Logan.
I arrived with my hotbox, clearly explaining that I was there to pick up multiple delivery orders. Instead of any level of attentiveness, I was met with an aloof and dismissive attitude, simply being told the food wasn’t ready. I waited patiently, but after 25 minutes, I noticed other delivery drivers arriving and promptly receiving their orders. Concerned, I approached the pass, only to be told that my orders had been sitting there all along—they were supposedly “waiting for me to confirm them.”
How could I confirm them if I was never informed they were ready? This lack of communication is unacceptable. From a customer service standpoint, staff should proactively engage with delivery drivers, as we represent paying customers. Instead, I was met with indifference and a complete disregard for efficiency.
This was a very frustrating experience, and I would strongly urge the management to train their staff on proper communication and customer service. Whether dine-in, takeaway, or delivery, all customers deserve respect and timely service. Sadly, this location failed...
