Went to Rashays Underwood with a party of 5 for a birthday (Myself, my partner, mother (MIL), brother (BIL) and grandmother (GIL) in law), we were seated almost instantly, service was quick and very friendly, drinks came out in a timely manner and was quite surprised at how quick the food came out and how good it all looked and smelled.
The order consisted of a garlic bread as the starter, can’t go wrong with a simple, hot and fresh garlic bread
Mains were: The lot burger - I ordered the lot burger the patty was cooked perfectly and juicy, lettuce was crisp, tomato was fresh and juicy the pickles had a good zest to them, onion rings were crunchy and cooked perfectly (most places these days I find over cook them and they don’t take much to make taste burnt and bitter on the pallet)
Wagyu Scotch steak - my partner ordered the steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, tender and juicy, we had it served with a double side of hot chips which were all cooked and seasoned wonderfully along with their creamy mushroom sauce which served as a great side sauce that the partner found quite enjoyable despite not being a fan of mushrooms
Arrabiata - MIL ordered the Arrabiata with fettuccine and said it was delicious and plentiful of flavour
Chicken wrap - BIL ordered a chicken wrap which he said was great, everything tasted fresh with crisp lettuce and a soft pita
Chicken crepes - GIL ordered the chicken crepes, and said they were great, the chicken and mushroom sauce had a great flavour, the crepes were soft but had a good snappiness when biting through as a good crepe should (the crepes at Rashays are also friendly for those who are gluten intolerant)
For the drinks,
I ordered the mango crush, a simple yet delicious drink, mango puree with a splash of lemon, refreshing and ingeniously effective.
My partner ordered the blue paradise, it was sweet and fruity, also a hit with her and myself and recommended to try if you go!
The BIL ordered the mango passionfruit drink and said it was refreshing and had great flavour to it.
Overall 5/5 stars, will definitely be going back to try more of the menu and dining in as it was a great experience from start to finish.
Thankyou to the staff at Rashays for a wonderful experience and keep up the good work!
(Photos aren’t the greatest as everyone was too worried about tucking into some good quality, freshly...
Read moreAs someone who's supported this franchise since it opened, i thought it would be best to leave you this honest review of our experience last weekend.
I was one of the ones who left a 5* review when it first opened. But since then, everything has gone downhill - food was subpar and had to be sent back , staff was atrocious and the manager was incredibly rude and looked as though she would rather be doing anything else but be there.
It absolutely explained why it was pretty empty on a Saturday afternoon.
Where should i even start?
The waiter wasn't approachable. He assured us that swapping sweet potato fries in our meals wouldnt incur additional costs and yet proceeded to charge us for FOUR serves of it even though we only ordered two. When my husband calmly explained the situation, your manager refused to listen and told us she cant remove it off the order so we'll have to pay even though YOUR staff gave us the wrong info we were being charged for more than we even ordered!
And it was only when my husband refused to pay until we spoke to the owner that she actually did anything (gave a measly "discount"). We still severely overpaid for YOUR staff's mistakes. And there wasnt even any apology given to us for this muck up.
Little wonder why the rest of your staff had an attitude on them and were unapproachable since they were working for a manger who behaves that way towards customers. A poor leadership leads to a decline in everything.
the steak my mother ordered was so overcooked and hard to bite into we had to send it back, just for it to still be overcooked.
our kids burger was also overcooked but at that stage we had given up hope of a semi-decent meal.
Terrible atmosphere and pretty much everything else too. What a...
Read moreI wanted to share my recent experience with an order I placed today, as it raised significant concerns regarding both quality and service.
I ordered pizza and chips for my 2-year-old son, and the total came to $28.49. When placing the order, I specifically requested plain salt on the chips. I was surprised when the lady on the phone informed me that the restaurant doesn’t have plain salt, which is a very basic item for any restaurant to have. This made me question whether the food was being freshly prepared or simply frozen and reheated. Nevertheless, I asked for a reduced amount of chicken salt.
Upon confirming with my wife that my son doesn’t eat chicken salt, I requested the chips to be made without any salt when I arrived to pick up the order and noticed it was still being prepared. However, instead of simply giving me unsalted chips, the staff apparently put the chips back in the oil, resulting in overcooked, oily, and stale chips. These were completely unsuitable for a young child to eat. As the order was for pickup, I didn’t discover the poor condition of the chips until I got home, but you can see from the photos I’ve attached just how bad they were.
Regarding the pizza, while it initially appeared fresh, it became clear that it was made using a pre-cooked base with sauce, and only a few ingredients were added on top before heating it again. For example, in the chicken pizza I ordered, it seemed like the base had already been prepared and they just threw on a few pieces of chicken and vegetables before serving it to me. Although the pizza looked presentable, the taste and texture were more like reheated food than something freshly made in a restaurant. It was dry, bland, and frankly, not enjoyable at all—more akin to animal feed than a proper meal.
Given this disappointing experience, I feel it's important to let people know to stay away from your restaurant. If you believe this is an unfair review, please check the order placed under...
