Initially the fried chicken was amazing. Tasty, juicy on the inside and crispy without being oily. However, standards have dropped drastically. The last 2 times we were very disappointed with the service and the food. I gave them another chance today and asked that we get freshly fried chicken which isn’t fried twice. Only to get home to dark fried chicken that indicated the chicken has been twice fried. So oily!! And the chicken meat was rubbery and tasteless even though we went with the hot spice level. Very disappointing!!
Adding to my original post. As i am unable to respond to your comment.
Communication barrier on my end??? Do you know who i am to make such a judgement? I am Australian and English is my first language. So not sure what language you would like me to communicate in? Perhaps you need a course in customer service and the finesse of dealing with a customer who has a complaint. Remember one thing in business the customer is king!!
Firstly you state that I was served by senior employees of your staff - does the young girl who served us previously and gave us the wrong order part of the senior cohort? I did call to complain but the senior employees do not answer the phone. And i made the choice to not make a fuss at that point in time as the young girl clearly needed more training. So you can put that down on the to do list for the senior employees.
My issues is clearly stated that the chicken on the two previous occasions as well as today was not freshly fried. Are you or are you not double frying the chicken ? Making it very oily!
Also I literally live 5 mins away from your store in Underwood so please do not use that as an excuse. Perhaps don’t offer fried chicken as a take away if the quality of the chicken can deteriorate to that level in such a short space of time.
Today we clearly requested in CLEAR SIMPLE ENGLISH that we would like freshly fried chicken not chicken that was pre fried and then refried for our order.
I am always keen to support small local businesses and give them a not one but 3 chances. So despite having previous issues. We came back today. But after the bad food experience and your rude response we definitely won’t be back.
Thank you...
Read moreHave had this twice , with mixed results - some great, some really not. Hence averages out to 3 stars.
First time was dine in with a friend. We had a shake each ($11 large) and shared the rest of the food: wings (6pc), $9 - spice level: hot cowboy burger, $16.50 - Premium Angus beef patty, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion & 2 bros special sauce Nashville loaded fries, $18 - Bro bites, fries, liquid cheese, cool ranch sauce, Nashville spicy mayo & house relish
The wings were great, with a great crispy & crunchy coating, solid spice punch, and the pickles were also very nice with a bit of sweetness to them. The "hot" and "scorchin' hot" heat levels involve dunking in spicy oil then sprinkling with spice. Absolutely would order again.
The milkshakes were ok - about on par with what I'd expect.
The beef burger came with one single rather thick slice of tomato. Weird but ok I guess... what wasn't ok was the beef patty - dry, a bit tough, and the entire bottom of it was black. This might've been due more to the cheese? Anyways thankfully didn't taste of bitter burnt-ness. The rest of the burger was fine though I wouldn't have known it was an Angus beef patty from the taste alone, and my dining buddy thought it was a fail overall.
The Nashville loaded fries were loaded with lackluster fries and dry chicken. Waste of $18.
It was also a 20-25 minute wait for food, which I thought was a bit slow for a place like this on a night that didn't look that busy.
Second time was takeaway with a boss burger (normally $15.50 but $5 for their 3rd birthday promotion - Nashville-style spicy fried chicken patty (Medium, Hot or Scorchin' heat), lettuce, American cheese, pickles, Nashville spicy mayo & cool ranch sauce). This was much, much better than the beef burger from my first visit and I'd be happy to eat this again.
Again a decent wait at 20 minutes though this was during day 1 of their week-long birthday specials and were getting smashed...
