Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Collingwood, Melbourne, 102 Uniq is a hidden gem that delivers an authentic and delightful Vietnamese dining experience. From the moment you step inside, the inviting ambiance sets the stage for a memorable culinary journey.
I had the pleasure of dining at 102 Uniq last night, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the flavors and quality of the food. Each plate that arrived at our table was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with vibrant and fresh ingredients that showcased the skill and passion of the chefs.
One dish that stood out to me was the vermicelli salad with lemongrass beef. The perfectly cooked beef combined with the fragrant lemongrass created a symphony of flavors that danced on my taste buds. Additionally, the yellow curry with grilled chicken was a true delight, with its rich and aromatic curry sauce that complemented the tender chicken perfectly.
My husband opted for the pork and prawn wonton soup, and it did not disappoint. The homemade wontons nestled in a flavorful broth were a comforting and satisfying choice, showcasing the restaurant's dedication to using high-quality ingredients and traditional techniques.
Aside from the exceptional food, the service at 102 Uniq was top-notch. The staff was warm, friendly, and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu and helping us choose the perfect dishes to suit our taste preferences.

Read moreHad dinner here and was quite disappointed. The squid was cooked with what seemed like old, burnt oil, and one of the eggplant dishes was served with just the charred skin peeled off — completely unacceptable. The overall quality was well below standard. A 4.9 rating honestly feels misleading. I won’t be returning.
(Update for replying)
Hi Steven, thank you for taking the time to respond.
While I appreciate your reply, I believe it’s important to clarify a few points. First, I did not claim to have eaten the squid—my comment about the burnt oil taste referred to the overall dish, which included vegetables that tasted overly charred and greasy.
I understand that your eggplant dish is a signature item and intentionally cooked with a smoky flavour. However, in this case, the burnt taste overpowered everything else and lacked balance. Not every diner will enjoy the same flavours, and that doesn’t make their experience any less valid.
Your staff did kindly offer a replacement, which I politely declined, but that doesn’t erase the fact that the food served initially did not meet expectations.
Lastly, I find it disappointing that you’ve chosen to dismiss my feedback by making assumptions about my dining preferences. Respectful communication goes both ways, and feedback—whether positive or not—should be welcomed, not...
Read moreOrdered beef pho and bun bo hue (BBH) via Deliveroo and I’ve now saved this eatery as my fav 💕
I called the restaurant to request for mix of beef brisket & raw beef (as Deliveroo doesn’t have a section for me to add our note). Jess is so friendly and helpful, and our request was delivered 🥰
I’ve tried quite a number of BBH and none were to my liking. Finally found my fav BBH here 💗 It has a lot more depth to the flavours.. imagine having a bit of sourish spicy soup but at the same time giving a clean taste to the palette 👌🏼 Love that they’ve used egg noodles too.
Not the tastiest pho I’ve eaten but def the heartiest and homely. We finished up all the soup and don’t feel thirsty after (a good indication of true flavours without MSG!)
We also find it value for $ and portion we’re enough for 2 person over 2 meals at $30 in total. And I just love the packaging with labelling 🥰
Definitely going to...
