Would give this 0 stars if I could. Couldn't have been worse. DO NOT GO THERE.

We had a bottomless brunch organised here with 9 girls for my birthday, and I was HIGHLY disappointed with the service we received.

Firstly, we arrived and were told someone was sitting at our table and to “just sit anywhere”. Given that we had a booking, I thought this was a poor start.

We then took our seats and were left to our own devices. No one ever came over and explained how the bottomless brunch worked at all, and given that bottomless brunches are usually table service we continued to wait to be addressed. Which we never were. So by the time we took ourselves over to the bar to ask how it worked, it was well past our booking time.

We were then continuously met with attitude throughout our booking for simple questions we would ask. Given that no one ever took the time to explain how the bottomless brunch worked, this was particularly frustrating.

Our food was served over an hour into our booking. When our food came out - although tasty - we couldn’t help but laugh at the fact that everything was served on plastic plates and bowls. For a $79pp package that’s just ridiculous. Are we camping???

Drinks wise - we requested table service if possible and were denied. We had to take our empty glasses to the bar in order to get new drinks, where they then REFILLED our dirty glasses. Not exactly service worthy of $79pp.

We were then cut off at 5pm on the dot regardless of the fact that we weren’t able to get started until well past 3pm simply because no one explained how the bloody thing worked. And when I say 5pm on the dot I’m not kidding, my friends went to the bar at 5:01pm and were denied drinks.

I also had to use my phone torch to see my food because it was so incredibly dark inside. (See photo attached).

ALSO the toilets were seriously disgusting. Dingy outdoor toilets that had clearly not been cleaned in a hot minute.

Awful experience all round, absolutely devastated that I chose Evie’s to celebrate my birthday. The rudest staff I've ever encountered, dingy venue and completely unreasonable prices. Totally unfair to charge that much money for a service...

December 2020. My partner and I called in for a drink and dessert. This place is awesome!! The menu is vegan or non vegan.

Evies still have happy hour every day, yes EVERY day hahaha. So many places have stopped happy hour but not Evies ... yay!!

For dessert I had a long island ice tea, my partner a margarita and we shared some apple pie which had fluffy pastry, a good apple filling and it was delicious.

And I've been there for happy hour recently try a beer which was good, and a happy hour espresso Martini! Whoa, they were really good haha and the prices were fantastic.

Previous review- November 2019 I haven’t been here for a while so I called in with a mate for a quick drink. The service was friendly and attentive.

The frozen margaritas were excellent, really tasty lol. If you want to go somewhere for some good vegan and non-vegan food in a fun relaxed environment then this might just be the place for you.

Original review OMGosh people!! I am a generally a carnivore at heart but I’m weakening hahaha especially when I get to try THE moat amazing VEGAN cheeseburger that one ever eaten!

There is a new chef at Evie’s and he can cook. My vegan burger was full of veggies and incredibly tasty! And not greasy thankfully.

I had some onion rings and the batter was excellent, the onion rings were man size lol and once again they weren’t greasy. Yummo.

We also tried the vegan (hot) dog of the day which was delicious. The roll was good, and the vegan ingredients were light and tasty.

The interesting thing I’ve realised about vegan food is that I don’t feel bloated after my meal exit is really good.

In saying that I did try a beef cheeseburger which was really tasty, just to see how it compared to the vegan burger and it was equally as good.

This place pumps out some old school tunes, and they sell my most current favourite beer, Boatrocker Miss Pinky - Raspberry Berliner Weisse which is sweet and sour! Yummy hahaha

This place was really impressive and it’s a must try! It’s just amazing! Il be back shortly for another vegan burger :)

WORST BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH EXPERIENCE EVER

I can't even begin to explain how awful an experience my friends and I had here. It is $79pp and not even remotely worth that price point.

Firstly, there is no table service. What kind of venue offering a bottomless brunch package (again, priced at $79) doesn't offer table service? Moreover, this was never explained to us upon arriving for our booking. Not one staff member approached us to explain how the bottomless brunch worked, so it wasn’t until about 30 minutes in did we realise we had to serve ourselves. Instead of the staff taking this into consideration, they subtracted that time from our 'bottomless' package and abruptly cut us off exactly 1.5hrs later.

You will not get value for money, because you have to wait in line at the bar every time you want a drink. We only got about 3 (small) drinks each through the whole duration of our booking because of the wait, and the venue wasn’t even particularly busy.

Shockingly, the staff REFILL your dirty glass each time you go to the bar for a new drink. Prosecco and mimosas are served in goblets instead of flutes giving it a very cheap feel. The drinks taste watered down.

The wait staff and manager are extremely rude and smug. Waiters serving our food would slam the plates on the table and storm off, and would act as if they were hugely inconvenienced if asked a simple question. The manager's attitude was atrocious and he would talk down to everyone he spoke to.

To top it off, the venue is very off putting. Very dark and dingy and you can barely see your food. The atmosphere feels like a children's play centre, and there are old Christmas decorations just dumped on one of the nearby tables. Food is served on cheap plastic dishes.

Honestly, do not waste your money here. There are plenty of much better bottomless brunch places in Fitzroy (such as The Provincial) which offer actual value for money, are cheaper, and have...

I definitely appreciated the unique atmosphere. It offers American style diner food in an 80’s style disco environment, mirror balls and all. They cater to their environment being located in Fitzroy and having a menu that is quite vegan friendly (but don’t worry you can get real meat too). You order at the counter and we began with a sauv blac (also vegan) and a Reece’s pieces shake. The shake I found was quite bland lacking a strong peanut flavour. The food came out relatively quickly and we had the vegan eggplant wedges, chicken and waffles, shoestring fries, chicken burger and the Philly cheesesteak bowl. The burger was just average for me with a high bun ratio and a bun that was a little too charred. The chicken and waffles weren’t bad but definitely had too much maple on them. The cheesesteak bowl was a little disappointing in that the meat lacked flavour and the sweet potato fries it came with were definitely undercooked. We hoped to fare better with deserts and ordered cinnamon doughnuts and blueberry bread and butter pudding. We were effectively served two Coles doughnuts with some icy chocolate ice cream and while the doughnuts tasted good you kind of expect more then that at a restaurant. The bread and butter pudding again had unbalanced ratios. It would have fared better had the blueberries been inside rather than heaped on top. Atmosphere is one thing but the food failed to impress
