The playground in the Fitzroy Gardens is a popular area for families with young children. The dragon slide, a slide formed in the shape of a dragon, the giraffe shaped swings and the large sandpit are especially popular.

It's only a small playground but with the dragon slide and giraffe swings, it's very different to the many traditional playgrounds you'll find. Young kids love the dragon slide. They can walk up the dragon's spine and slide down its long tail. They also love climbing all over the dragon's head and body, and the little ones crawl through the middle of the dragon. The children also love the swings hanging off the giraffe's front elevated legs. The little one's also enjoy bucketing and at the sandpit.

Albeit limited, there are seats adjacent to the playground and...

Has 2 swings (one strap, one infant) and a slide, so more like a mini play area really. They do have unique designs but if you're thinking of coming to the gardens with kids thinking you can spend some decent time here too you'll probably be disappointed because they'll quickly get bored of either waiting their turn, or done with play quickly. So overall it's good for a mini play and you'll get a couple...

Will keep small children entertained for 15 minutes or so, not much else around for them to play on here other than running around on the grass. After tiring them out here take them to see the Fairies Tree and Tudor...
