Best Pizza I've Eaten!

It's unbelievable that some pizzerias out there have the audacity to label themselves as "the best pizza in Melbourne" when they don't even prove their dough. This place is the real deal. They prove their dough for 48 hours and you'd better believe, it makes a load of difference to the final product. After all, the base makes up probably ~50% of the flavour of a pizza and is the first thing to touch your tongue unless you eat your pizza upside-down (you weirdo). On top of this, the flavours and toppings are on point and their pizzas are wood-fired. Not a single beat wrong. We tried the Giacomo and Cinque Fromaggio (with some added sautéed mushroom and truffle oil added to the latter). The Giacomo was hands down the nicest pizza I'd ever eaten; the little bursts of fennel sausage was just mwah (chef's kiss). I look forward to trying everything else...

Adding to my original review below from a couple of years ago as unfortunately tonight realised there is quite a jump in price for online ordering vs store. Extra $13 for 2 pizzas and a garlic and herb. This jump in price from store vs door dash was not mentioned on the 458 website or through door dash when my partner ordered. He was oblivious to the price hike and ordered but I noticed when the bill came through. This should be communicated more clearly as id have happily popped in store to save the $$$. Sorry but kinda feel a little ripped off here.

Free tastings- Absolutely bloody delicious- had the Pepperoni and hands down best I’ve had! Sign of promising times ahead with this new addition to the Been! Thanks for opening and thanks for the delicious...

I heard about this pizzeria through a client of mine on the Gold Coast who told me how awesome these pizzas are. So I have travelled all the way from the Gold Coast to come try them and all I can say is Wow 10/10. One of the Best pizzas I have ever had, seriously from the light dough to the generous toppings it was cooked to perfection. My Pick is The 458 Pizza and The Fungi.

The staff are wonderful and friendly, the shop was spotless and the pizzas 🍕 did not disappoint, Looking forward to my next Melbourne trip will def be back again. Now only if only we had our very own 458 Pizzeria on the Gold...
