This place was not a good experience. Paid $35 each to receive an oddly portioned meal. The salad had two slices of cucumber, 3 lettuce leaves and a lemon wedge the same size as the single tomato slice. No idea what the lemon was added for? The dressing on the side was enough to dress this salad 10 times over. The mixed grill plate had SO much rice, wow, just why? Could not understand the portioning here? Seriously there was about three serves of rice that you’d get at an Asian takeaway restaurant on one plate. Then the meat… the cutlets were fatty and not cooked properly. The chicken and other bits of meat were coated in some floury seasoning that wasn’t cooked enough and so had a strange pastey, claggy texture. Normally I will eat it if it’s good enough, I’m not that fussy but me and my friend both left most of our meat and definitely most of our rice. The girl cooking and serving the food had absolutely no expression and didn’t speak, I felt like she was being forced to run the place against her will.. as in I literally felt worried for her. There were heaps of people working but only the very young girl seemed to be doing anything, and she was not qualified to be doing the cooking. Normally I wouldn’t write a review if it would hurt a small business but I paid an exorbitant price for something that did not deliver and people should be warned.
Also what is the go with the deal for 1 person being $35 and the deal for 2 $70… usually you’d expect a discount, or more food but the menu listed exactly the same items just doubled. The man serving us looked confused when we just ordered 2 x deal for ones. But at this point we felt like getting the deal for 2 would end up leaving us without somehow. Give this...

Renovating Title: Culinary Oasis: Afghan Kebab - A Gastronomic Journey
Review: Embarking on a delightful culinary journey, I have discovered the epitome of Middle Eastern cuisine at Afghan Kebab, a gem conveniently located near my residence.
Afghan Kebab has redefined my palate with its exquisite kebabs and delectable biryani. The tantalizing aroma, indicative of the freshness of their ingredients, is just the beginning of the extraordinary dining experience. The meticulous attention to detail extends to every facet of their menu, showcasing an array of salads and dishes that consistently exceed expectations.
A significant contributor to this culinary excellence is the invaluable guidance and assistance provided by Sajid Wohra. His extensive knowledge of ingredients and foods elevates the dining experience, as he expertly guides patrons through the menu. Sajid not only imparts wisdom on what to eat but also shares insights on where to find the best flavors and the various options available.
I must also commend Faisal for his commendable assistance at the store. Together, Sajid and Faisal have curated an environment that transcends a mere dining establishment, making Afghan Kebab a truly exceptional place to savor Middle Eastern delights.
My sincere gratitude to both Sajid and Faisal for creating a culinary haven where passion for food meets exceptional service. Afghan Kebab has truly become a gastronomic sanctuary, and this review stands as my heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional experience they...
Read moreI’m generally a big fan of Afghan food, whenever I get a chance to try new one I do. These guys are the closest to where I live so I go there whenever I crave Afghan and usually I noticed some problems but the food is good so I just ignore it but this time was too much for me
First of all, they have two menus with different prices. Bread on one of them is 1$ and 1.5$ on the other. The lady taking the order mumbled at first that this is a mistake then claimed that it was for the takeaway menu after of course charging me the higher price
Second, I ate in a number of other Afghan shops, in general their service is poor but they all supply bread with the order especially big orders (there were 4 of us) these weird guys charge for the bread, not the extra bread, for any bread you get!
Thirdly, when I saw the discrepancy in bread prices I asked calmly to see the manager, the lady taking the order answered politely “sure”... obviously no one came at all
Finally the mix grill came over cooked and burned around the edges (normally, I dared to ask for the manager )
I am sure these guys would never try to check the comments of the customers because they are probably think too highly of themselves to care, but at least if a customer reads this, and if you are craving Afghan like me sometime, use someone else, not these guys...
