I came here last night, the young gentleman was reading prices from his computer when I asked for a dish based on pricing on the paper menu. Can I recommend since you only have one paper menu there, at least listing correct prices?
I used to come as recently as last month & get a veg curry with rice total $20. Today I thought I'd get a slightly different veg, he told me $22 for the curry alone, so I'd be spending nearly $30? It's not a price combo I've seen for bigger Indian restaurants so I was a bit shocked...I get there's inflation but youâve uploaded a menu 2 yrs ago & scribbled new prices on it...and there's another version in the restaurant which is the higher price version, apparently higher than the one youâve uploaded...so the prices have gone up 3 times in 2 years?
ANYWAY, food has always been fresh..used to get the eggplant & potato curry which was lovely except only got small pieces of eggplant in it (respectfully it was a little stingy) but definitely wasn't worth $20 but I loved the whatever it was (mostly potato & curry paste) with little pieces of eggplant & parsley, and liked the atmosphere & lovely staff but if your prices have gone up so much, not sure it's practical to return sadly.
Just my recommendation, please don't jump prices like this, also, have a menu that accurately reflects prices both online & in there. The young gentleman serving me was lovely but having this menu & reading off way higher prices off your computer that you could only see just threw me off and would be very rude because it wasnât a small price difference either. I ended up not getting what I wanted, got Samosas with the Lassi which were cheaper since I didn't want to spend that sort of money on a veg curry. The Samosa & Lassi I got were fresh and nice as always so at least that was nice...
Really used to love this place, great vibe but not sure anymore :( I think your restaurant can do really well if you make prices reasonable & put more in the dishes because the quality & customer service is already great & be mindful of price...

Donât let the looks from the outside fool you. Al Karims is a guaranteed good feed, offering both takeaway and dine in options!
Highlights: Super friendly service, was greeted with a warm welcome and felt like we were sitting at their family dinner table. Samosas weâre lit đ„The beef korma was phenomenal, I want to fill my 1liter water bottle up with this curry and drink it throughout the day.
Negatives: The vindaloo was lacking a bit of fire power (we requested it hot). A couple of the other dishes were missing a touch of flavour to really wow me.
Overall, Al Karims is a solid Indian restaurant with a great atmosphere and authentic meals. Is it my favourite indian restaurant? No. Did it knock my socks off? Socks did not come off my feet. However, I definitely recommend checking it out if youâre in the area looking for a casual spot to dine out or if you live in the area and are craving...
Read moreFantastic Indian restaurant and I'll tell you why: After several visits I can confirm that any food I have always ordered has been cooked fresh because I've watched the chef out the back cooking it! - The staff are always really friendly and make sure to check every time whether we want mild medium or hot (spiced) dishes. They do a ripper Dhal makhani and garlic naan. I love the fact that it's small, they never have booming loud music which is relaxing - they have quite a varied selection of dishes to choose from - And parking is a breeze because you can park in either the gigantic Coles or Aldi car parks nearby. This is a traditional family-run business and they genuinely care about the food they serve. I think it's very fairly priced considering everything is pretty much homemade, made with love and the food is absolutely delicious! - Hamish John Appleby//...
