Food: fries were overseasoned and overcooked. Too much japaleños on top - which clashed with the “old bay” type chip seasoning (in my opinion) Mozzarella sticks were nice and hot and the ranch sauce was perfect for it (but is it worth $20 for two pieces? Absolutely not!) The birria tacos were nice and tasty - but for the price it was, still quite expensive and not overly WOW factor. I would also prefer white pickled onion slices with the birria tacos as opposed to the red onion as it can alter the taste of the other components. The $8 drinks off the menu also RIDICULOUSLY priced considering it was served in a small plastic cup. I was dumbfounded to say the least LOL. I would recommend just buying a can of drink. The home made drinks are two sips worth and again, for $8, that cannot be justified 🥲
I’m sorry but I had to give that rating for both service and atmosphere 😥 . Our orders were incomplete and missing items (which was fine because we dined in, but seriously, it wasn’t busy when we got there but they struggled) I also have to mention the uncleanliness of the place, again, given that they were not busy. We cleaned our own table and put aside the trash on another table… I’ve worked hospitality and I get it, when you’re getting pumped, understandable. But I also know when cleanliness isn’t a priority and could def see that in this case. If that’s the first impression the customers get, what is the standard behind the counter? Anyway. It’s good for a first time try, but I don’t think I’ll...
Read moreIf you are craving authentic Mexican street food, Al Mexic Tacos is a must-visit! Their tacos de birria are hands down one of the best you can find. For those unfamiliar, tacos de birria are tacos filled with tender, slow cooked beef, marinated in a flavorful mix of spices with a side of consomé. This rich, savory broth is filled with the juices and spices from the meat, and the best way to enjoy your taco is by dipping it into the consomé. The tortilla soaks up all that delicious flavor, creating a perfect balance of textures and tastes.
Apart from their famous tacos, they also offers other great options like flautas de pollo (crispy rolled tacos filled with seasoned chicken), along with sides like corn, fries, and sweet potato wedges. To top it off, they have refreshing homemade juices and a delicious fruit cup with Tajín and chamoy, adding a touch of sweet, tangy, and spicy.
The service here is spectacular and friendly, capturing the street food vibe that makes you feel like you have been transported straight to Mexico. Every bite packs a punch of culture, depth, and flavor. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a truly authentic Mexican food experience. One of the best Mexican...
Read moreThe food here was decent, not amazing, not terrible, just okay. I ordered two birria taco meals (each comes with three tacos) and two watermelon drinks. Unfortunately, the service (mostly the girl taking orders) really ruined the experience.
It took 50 minutes for the first order of tacos to come out, then another 20 minutes for the second one. On top of that, I reminded the girl taking orders three separate times about my drinks, and she just kept saying “okay” but never brought them. instead she would always look over at us and then give everyone else’s meals all together with no issues at all. After waiting way too long cause she didn’t care. I finally got pissed off and left without getting my drinks. I didn’t even care about the drinks at that point I just wanted to leave cause she was that bad at her job.
Honestly, the girl handling the orders just isn’t cut out for the job. She seemed totally uninterested and overwhelmed, and it’s clear they need someone more reliable at the front. With better service, this place could be solid, but right now it’s not worth the hassle. Date of...
