Oh, boy. Where to start?
Ordered a pizza. Lady came from the back kitchen wearing gloves. She's eating. Stuffs the last bit of food in her mouth with her right hand, then immediately starts making my pizza and grabs the cheese with the hand that was in her mouth 3 seconds earlier. Then while continuing to make the pizza she gets her phone out of her pocket and and answers a call with her left hand. At no point did she change gloves. I suspect the gloves are to keep her hand clean rather than keep the food hygienic, but that's a guess.
I mentioned this to the staff who seemed to get embarrassed and then proceeded to ignore me, except for the lady making the pizza who gave me the stink eye after one of the other staff whispered in her ear. It was at this point she changed gloves.
Now, if they'd addressed my concerns, I would not have written this review. Ignoring me the way they did indicates to me that hygiene is not a concern. Very poor customer service. I don't really blame the counter staff as they were quite young and have obviously not had much training. This is on management.
Onto the pizza. It's a soggy mess. Sauce isn't seasoned well at all. Pineapple isn't sweet at all. And there's too much of everything which actually detracts from the overall flavour.
It's unfortunate because this place is my local.
But hey, they're cheap. I wouldnt call...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy recent visit to Coburg Pizza was a delightful culinary adventure. Known for its reputation in the local community, it certainly lived up to the hype. I decided to try the Meatlovers Pizza and The Lot, and both exceeded my expectations.
The Meatlovers Pizza was a carnivore's dream. It arrived piping hot, loaded with an impressive array of meatsāthink juicy pepperoni, succulent ham, and flavorful bacon, all harmoniously layered on a perfectly crisp crust. The blend of cheeses was rich and gooey, creating a delightful contrast with the savory toppings. Each bite was a satisfying blend of flavors and textures, making it clear why this pizza is a local favorite.
On the other hand, The Lot offered a more varied experience. Topped with a generous assortment of vegetables, including mushrooms, capsicum, and olives, it was a well-balanced option that didnāt skimp on flavor. The combination of fresh ingredients and a well-seasoned base made it a memorable choice.
The service at Coburg Pizza was friendly and efficient, adding to the positive experience. Overall, itās a place that combines quality ingredients with a welcoming atmosphere, making it a go-to spot for great pizza...
