It was my intention to meet up with my interstate visitors, grab a takeaway coffee and enjoy the view from Green Point. This way derailed when we ordered our cuppas from Allister McAllister. The coffee was great; hot and full of flavour, accompanied by a complimentary biscuit with a smiley face on it. My companions did the ordering so sadly I did not get the chance to browse at the curios in the store, but they were impressed. After leisurely sitting and chatting outside the shops, the decision was made for a second drink. This time I went for a green tea. No tea bag plonked on the saucer for me to dangle for myself! A pot of loose leaf tea steeping in water of perfect temperature was carried out to me by, what I presumed to be, the owner. He had a lovely chat with us about the origins of the tea and the local area. I’m so glad that our rendezvous was changed from Sandringham or I would never have found this gem located just by Brighton Beach Station...

We came here on the recommendation from the Brighton Railway station CSO. We were dying for a coffee, after riding our bikes along the cycleway (we began our journey from Newport). We had not stopped til now. My partner drinks decaf. I love a flat white. The coffee was great. The service was excellent. We indulged in cake. It was carrot and I think there was rhubarb in it too. You know the typical factory made banana bread you get at cafes... yeah-nah! This was HOME-MADE and it was beautiful. Great flavour and texture. The shop is quirky. We LOVED it and next time we're around, we'll return. We took our coffee and cakes across to the beach. Coffee cups featured original artworks. I adore contemporary art . A...

Such awesome retro nostalgia vibes from the second you set foot into the cafe! And all the items on display are for sale too, how cool is that?!

Anyways, stopped in on my way to my client I just googled the nearest cafe as I sat and waited in traffic and this was the closest to me. The guy that served me was very friendly and welcoming. I got the cheese and mushroom toastie and a chai leaf tea which was absolutely delicious!! You even get a complimentary ginger biscuit on top of coffee cup which I thought was a sweet gesture and definitely put a smile on my face as I wasn’t expecting that. If you’re ever walking by or past towards the beach, pop in a and...

I love this place. With its range of eclectic items, mainly from the 1970's and 1980's, it's nostalgia overload, with its vinyl records (albums and singles), posters, magazines, VHS tapes and collectible toys. Everything you see is for sale and today I brought an old letter/bills/misc holder. Husband and I had coffees (soy latte and flat white) while I also had a multigrain cheese and tomato toasted sandwich. So pop in, you will never know what you will find, I will always keep visiting. Actually they had a couple of matchbooks on counter and I remember when everyone used to collect them, how funny. I also love the music they play, today a 1981 compilation, so good.
