A group of 18 of us went to the Lion Cabin last Saturday night to celebrate my birthday. I was in touch with the restaurant a number of times before the event to let them know that this was a great opportunity for them to get lots of new people coming there for the future. To say the meal was disappointing is a HUGE understatement. I adore Sri Lankan food and was really looking forward to all the traditional dishes, only to be sadly let down! The buffet consisted of Fried Rice, stringhoppers, creamy pasta, parata, potato curry, dhal, chicken curry devilled chicken and hoppers & egg hoppers The chicken curry and the devilled chicken were just bones, there was so little meat on them that you would not even recognise it as chicken! The only good thing about the meal were the Hoppers and egg hoppers which were freshly made and served to the table. That was the meal.
A few hours later I [and 14 out of 18 others] had severe stomach cramps and spent the rest of the night on the toilet with violent diarrhea . I complained to the restaurant, who said that their staff ate the chicken curry with no ill effects. A coincidence that so many of us were sick - I DON'T THINK SO!!!!! We will NEVER...
Read moreHave been to this place Yummy Kottu ordered. People eat like they never seen food before. By looking at I realised food is bit of spicy even native srilankans were sweating and wiping their face as its too spicy for them. But they love to eat going for even third round of serving as its all you can eat for reasonable price. Recommending for extra spicy food lovers
